The super weird hoodoo Alien Throne in the De Na Zin / Bisti Badlands wilderness area of New Mexico. Some really incredible and strange hoodoos in this little spot.
Alien invader, thats what I thought at first when I saw them on our maple stump laying their eggs, 3 inches long needle probing into wood was all new to me,
This is the most amazing part of the process, as the last two segments of her abdomen separate and a taut membrane between them provides the force to drive the oviposito, the straight part seen between her middle legs into solid wood.

This image seems to have remained dormant waiting for just such a venue as this weeks Happy Macro Monday theme, Seeds - HMM!! Well that didn't work out, the group closed at 8:00 PM ET WTF....

For the Macro Mondays Theme: 'LId'
I once found this perfume bottle at a flea market and took it home, because I found the lid so intriguing. When I read about today's theme, I wanted to use this little perfume bottle. So that's what I did. First together (see first comment box), then I tried a top view of the lid alone and look, this little alien came out. And gives us a big smile ;-))
HMM everyone and a good start of this week!
On Sunday the 12th September (2021) I noticed a speck in the sky moving. I had to get a long lens quickly to work out what it was. What you see here is a handheld 3000mm image of what was in the sky.
It drifted further away and finally gained a huge amount of height very quickly. Most odd.
Have I got too vivid an imagination? A touch of frost and some sunshine., a little magic ....and I'm happy . But I am getting fed up of trees! Is this all too much of a mish mash to make a picture?

I used Sunday's moon, a bleeding heart flower and my own textures.
The image I have of a different world. Somewhere that's been hit by trauma whether it be by a traumatic storm or a planet somewhere in the galaxy.
In reality, it's a photo of a reflection of long grass at the tip of a burn leading to the sea. I just rotated photo.
An experimental photoshoot in midday light using bright reflections and shallow depth of field for dramatic effect.
Doc and I were driving along our favorite back road, when I looked up and saw the strangest contrails I have ever seen in my life. No planes could be heard or seen, and though the clouds had movement - the contrails appeared to be still. We spent a good twenty minutes observing, and they never changed pattern, so we continued our trip north - bidding goodbye to the alien's message.
