Low clouds bisect the Sun’s disk, giving it a peculiar, distorted shape, at the end of a hot summer day a few years ago, on the beautiful planet we call Earth…

My warmest thanks to everyone for visiting my photos, for your kind faves and comments, stay healthy and keep looking up!

The Icelandic Highlands are one of the most stunning and remote places on Earth, a vast, rugged, and unspoiled wilderness. A drone photo of this area would capture the raw beauty of an alien landscape that seems to belong to another planet.

From above, you'd see sweeping views of vast, barren plateaus, deep valleys, and jagged peaks. The terrain is a patchwork of rich, vibrant colors: dark volcanic rocks, bright mosses in greens and yellows. At higher altitudes, the true scale of the highlands comes into view, showcasing the isolation and grandeur of this untouched region. It’s a place that feels timeless and otherworldly, and a drone shot would capture that magical contrast between the wild, unforgiving terrain and the delicate beauty of nature.

Мне кажется, очень многие смотрели или слышали о знаменитом научно-фантастическом боевике режиссёра Джеймса Кэмерона «Чужи́е» (англ. Aliens, 1986).

It seems to me that many people have watched or heard about the famous sci-fi action movie directed by James Cameron “Aliens” (eng. Aliens, 1986).

A strange looking fungi type droplet covered thingamajig!!!

During my astrophotography trip to the Canary Islands the Tajinaste rojo were in full bloom.

Standing between these strange looking flowers in the barren volcanic landscape of the Las Cañadas caldera and seeing the starfilled sky unfold above me, evoked a feeling of being in a completely alien world. One of the spots that almost gave me goosebumps was this sloping hill, where the terrain nicely matches the angle of the rising Milky Way.

As a Swiss national I found it interesting to learn that the scientific name of the Tajinaste (Echium wildpretii), honours the 19th century Swiss botanist Hermann Josef Wildpret, who was head gardener of the famous botanical garden Jardin de Aclimatación de la Orotava (also called Botánico for short) near Puerto de la Cruz on Tenerife.

For a comp in the Melbourne LUG this weekend. I was scratching for some ideas and realised Prometheus was opening a few days earlier so this seemed like a cool way to celebrate. The first concept involved halving one side as the Space Jockey but it didn't work out so I settled for two aliens instead. Also sorry for the bad pic; shooting utdoors in winter sucks.

"Almost Alien"

The theme is Bubbles. I made bubbles in a bowl, put the camera (waterproof) in the water face up, and played three lights (red, blue, green) over the top of the bubbles. When I liked the colour and lighting arrangement of my picture, I clicked the remote shutter (phone app) and 'voila'.

Shot taken at Focus Fair demostration of the LunaMare photo studio, lighting and posemate. So easy to use that I managed it having never used or seen a Photo system studio before.

I haven't done an abstract shot for quite a long time, and yes, this was completely by accident. Thanks to the inspiration of other macro photographers, I was scrutinising the moss growing on the trees locally, happened upon this unusual plant growth from a pocket of moss and so, on the Nikkor 55-200mm I affixed the DCR250 and thanks to the awkward focus points, I had to switch to manual, rocking on my ankles I got this shot, in PP I noticed it looked so Alien and yet ghostly at the time.

Thus it got me thinking, albeit all things are energetic wave form information, be in one realm of any given dimension, 3D, 4D, or 5D, spirits are absolute, so thus, isn't it unusual how we categorise Aliens and Ghosts into secular partitions? An Alien can surely have a spirit thus upon expiration of "physical" life, can go on energetically to the next realm as a Spirit. Concluding that Homosapiens, Aliens and Ghosts are in fact one and the same thing, acutely a conscious multiplicity of differing, interchangeable and energetic Interdimensional, waveform information constructs of infinite awareness.

Psst: Guess what? You never actually die.

I hope everyone is well and so as always, thank you! :)

This is the decaying trunk of a eucalyptus tree that I dug up in our garden last year and now thinking about what to do with! It did provide the opportunity for quite a bizarre image that is almost alien in look and texture. I immediately thought of alien worlds!

The only thing that scares me more than space aliens is the idea that there aren't any space aliens. We can't be the best that creation has to offer. I pray we're not all there is. If so, we're in big trouble.

The dying celestial body is the sun disappearing behind the mountains, between mists. This particular atmosphere reminded me of a scene from the movie "Alien", directed by Ridley Scott.

The bee balm reminds me of an alien being of some kind or an alien world before it fully blooms. Note the wee fluorescent neon green bug on it and the tiny raindrops. I put a flickr note where it is.

So George Thorogood was incredible but before he appeared we had the treat of the most spectacular clouds at sundown. Sadly no cameras are allowed at the amphitheatre but at least I had my cell phone! The light on these clouds changed by the minute. What a bonus!!

I'm sure the residents of this estate have long become accustomed to this spaceship-like water tower looming over their lives... but it frankly gives me the creeps every time I drive past

I was photographing this nature scene when a strange light appeared. I snapped the picture and when I got home was very surprised to see what that strange light really was.
