This MOC was intended for the preliminary round of the 2017 Bio-Cup contest here on Flickr, the prompt for which was to re-imagine a Lego set in Bionicle form. I've always thought some of the coolest System sets were from Mars Mission, and the Alien Infiltrator already has sort of a humanoid silhouette, so that was a natural choice for me. Unfortunately I was too busy to finish it in time for the contest, but I still definitely wanted to finish and post it at some point. Enjoy!
I had a successful and not so successful trip. I found the Alien World area in the Valley of Dreams area, but wasn't able to get to the King of Wings.
Don and I hiked for several hours getting to Alien World in 40 mph winds. You have many gullies and streams to cross, along with sandy dune areas. Anyway, after 5 hours in the Valley of Dreams area, we had had it.
Now to the Alien World area and the Valley of Dreams. It has awesome rock formations. I could post pictures until you are sick of the area. There was also amazing amount of petrified wood, including large logs. It is another place I hope to get back to, I'm sure I missed many rock formations in it.
If you get the chance to see this, I highly recommend it. I don't think you would be disappointed.
I decided to do "Alien Landscape" the MOCathalon category since I didn't get a chance to when the MOCathalon was running. It was a fairly quick build, so it's not my best. I was quite pleased with the outcome, and I hope you are too.
The wreck of an old car dumped in floodwaters. Really still water and clear reflections. Same shot as previous shot but rotated anticlockwise. Thanks to Cecilia Temperli for idea.
Thank you all for comments and support! Thanks to all my followers! Since I've started building in July, with your help I did more than 60 models.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year :)

I couldn't resist this guy.
For the space alien wackiness !
You squeeze his torso and a bubble pops out of the the top of his head . Then you turn him upside down. And it fills up with red goop.... He has sounds effects too. Some strange alien gibbering sounds ...
Not liking how he looks with the empty space above his head. But that is his gimmick. He is about 13 1/2 inches tall and big scaled. Doesn't fit with my other toys. But too weird to pass up :)
Sydney's iconic opera house looks like something alien in a light show during the 2017 VIVID festival. Sydney, NSW, Australia.
It can be compared to the 2016 version which had different patters.

Doctor Racine and her team are the world's leading experts in non-terrestrial technology and xenobiology.
Commenting on her rather unorthodox approach to research, which has been criticised by other teams working in this field, the doctor observed: "We just focus on the practical applications and let the boys worry about the ethics."

"In space no one can hear you scream"
Alien is a 1979 science fiction horror film directed by Ridley Scott and starring Tom Skerritt, Sigourney Weaver, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton, John Hurt, Ian Holm and Yaphet Kotto. The film's title refers to its primary antagonist: a highly aggressive extraterrestrial creature that stalks and kills the crew of a spaceship.
