This aggregation of barnacles growing on the vertical face of the rocks, above the low-tide line at Ardnave Point formed a really nice visual pattern, similar in many respects to a patch of lichen in a drier locale.

An underwater view of a FAD (fish aggregating device) in the Indian Ocean. The beacon attached to the aggregation device has been linked to a vessel supplying Thai Union. Greenpeace is in the Indian Ocean to document and peacefully tackle unsustainable fishing. The marine snares recovered have all been placed by vessels supplying Thai Union. With some tuna stocks in the Indian Ocean, such as Yellowfin, on the brink of collapse due to overfishing, the expedition is exposing destructive fishing methods which contribute to overfishing and harm a range of marine life.
