Two months have now passed since Hurricane Helene’s storm surge devastated the US Gulf barrier island communities. At this St. Pete Beach property, the debris that almost swamps the sign remains to be cleared.

Sammy now desperate for the car park as he really needs to pee, but had to wait to see what he was peeing on - more fun that way.

 

I wish it would have frozen that way could you imagine?

My Serious Eats farewell dinner at 99 Favor Taste. We ordered all-you-can-eat hot pot and Korean barbecue for everyone, which amounted to twice as much food as we could eat. Whoooops.

Boarded-up storefronts along Yonge St., the day after roving bands of giblet-heads smashed windows over several blocks of the street. I think these particular windows actually got boarded up before they got smashed. Smart.

Typhoon Pablo ( International name Bopha) was the strongest tropical cyclone recorded in Mindanao after 1970's Typhoon Kate. It made landfall over Banganga, Davao Oriental on December 3 as a Category 5 Super Typhoon with maximum 1-minute winds of up to 260 kph. The storm has caused crop damage worth 8.5 billion pesos ($210 million), 700 confirmed dead and 800 more missing.
