Pun intended, I'm afraid. Yup, it's come to this. These are very troubling and frightening times in which we find ourselves - and it's not just in Canada. The threats are real!

Never 51!

Poor Revo is so afraid of Butch that he was too scared to get into the shelter with all the other goats, so he was stuck out in the rain. It took a lot of coaxing and some goat pellets (even though he was already standing out in the rain, I guess he thought it would be worse to walk through it!), but I finally managed to get him to follow me back to the main barn, but he was already soaking wet.

I found this Cricket foraging on a Dandelion at the Monte Orlando Nature Preserve in Gaeta, Italy. Shot in the late morning this critter was more hungry than afraid.

Tech Specs: Canon 80D (F11, 1/125, ISO 200) + a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens (over 2x) + a diffused MT-26EX RT (E-TTL metering). This is a single, uncropped, frame taken hand held. In post I used Topaz Denoise AI and Clarity in that order. I dragged the shutter to expose for the natural light in the background while keeping the subject in the shade.

Shot with Canon EOS 400D + Canon 18-55mm

Location: Shopping Mall in Berlin Hohenschönhausen(not the main hall but a sideway which leads to a library)

I specifically love today because I've both been lazy and been productive.

I started out my day waking up at 6am with my kitty cat trying to cuddle under my chin; which I of course let him, and proceeded to sleep like that for 3 more hours.

I have a buncha healthy snacks to eat, dinner in the crock pot, and I'm about to go cuddle up and watch a movie with my better half.

Doesn't get much better than that, now, does it. ;-)

Hope everyone's having a great day!

xoxo

TRF I love dark chocolate. Another reason to love today. ;-)

This Green Heron had slowly crept forward into the Malibu Lagoon from its nearby perch - searching for a hidden fish !! No luck I'm afraid !!

The parking lot gate at my intended location was malfunctioning this morning so I had to drive to an alternate location.

Anyway... Not as much drama as I'd hope for in the morning skies. I was afraid that the guy laying on the ground in my shot was going to fall into the lake. I subconsciously thought about whether I'd be the hero that sacrificed his 70d or the photographer that documented a not so pleasant event. I'm happy that neither was necessary and I got my shot & left.

As usual... The sunrise looked a whole lot better once I exited the parking facility. Go figure....

Don't be afraid of the dark!

I'm not afraid of heights but the thought of riding in a ferris wheel gives me butterflies. As a kid, I loved it but as I got older the thought of being up there scares me, hence, my treatment of the photo to try to make it look like a big scary ferris wheel.

The Scaly-breasted Munia at the Los Angeles Arboretum are becoming less skittish of the paparazzi. The guy in the rear gave me a long look but, as long as I remained still, he was happy to stay !! I believe this pair were perched on a Mulberry Bush near the Meadowbrook Section

On a fall day my aunt passed away. For the last ten years of her life she became a recluse, afraid to go outside her home. For ten years she only saw the world through a lace curtain. This my tribute to her.

I decided to start sharing some of the photos I took as a photographer for my high school. I suppose I was a pretty good photographer for a 17-year-old.
