Im afraid they are inclined to take their "friendlies" just a little bit too serious though!
Irish +2 Norway -2 so far!
For years we in Ireland, especially on the east coast assumed that we had Viking ancestery but it actually works out that we are more Spanish than anything else. The Vikings didnt mix with the natives and married amongst their own. Indeed, we called them " The Dark Foreigners " which is not a very complimentary name.
Of course now I know where my devastaing good looks come from! With my tanned skin, brooding good looks, jet black hair and my dark brown eyes. Im a fine figure of a man really! Only thing I cant understand is that the rest of us have red hair and freckles! Ill have to ask my Mum. Mum...., remember you told me you had a Spanish holiday years ago before I was born? What year was that Mum!.......................Mum!.. mum mum. What??????....................................Lol!

Three Amigos baby raccoons sitting up high on my lattice, I am afraid the mother may have gone away or fallen victim to a predator, they climbed after the got some food and now there sleeping, afraid I have some children now. But there cute at least, found in North Carolina.

I am not afraid of spiders, but I know many are. I found it fitting for this quote, for it was weighing heavily on my mind today. I was on my daily 3 mile walk this morning and the thought popped into my head. I prayed....help me to do one thing each day that scares me. There will be nothing left to fear then. :)
I am not sure what kind of spider this is. I am thinking it is a Grass Spider. If anyone knows, you are welcome to enlighten me here in the comments. :)

This is an excerpt of a speech that Aleksey Navalny gave in a Moscow court during his show trial in 2021 before being sentenced to camp imprisonment. I haven’t found an official translation into English, so I’m giving it a try myself… everything this English version lacks in style, clarity and possibly grammar is only due to my limited capabilities.
“What does this toad sitting on a pipeline fear the most? What do these thieves in their bunkers fear the most? You know it perfectly well. They fear people taking to the streets. (…) This thievish old man is sitting in his bunker and is shivering with fear. They are afraid! That’s the only reason that everything happening is so rushed, so secretive, hurried and hushed. They are afraid, and they are afraid of you. They are afraid of people who no longer are willing to silently endure, of people who recognize their power and realize that they are unstoppable. People who wonder: “Why is all of Russia supposed to bow down to a Putin, a Sechin, some Rotenbergs, to this bunch of monstrous crooks?” It will all stop as soon as we realize this and take to the streets; it will vanish into thin air. Every day we keep losing possibilities that we still have today; every day we lose a bit of future. It has been like that for twenty years. I went down this trail by myself to get the and I was honestly afraid of being trampled by a moose or being attacked by a hobo. Or both. It was scary. But I'm ok, so it's all good. My arms look funny but that's because they're bent!
