This was back in June on our trip through Central Oregon. This unique site is waaaaay out in the middle of nowhere. When I finally got there, I was disappointed that there was this blinding white haze hanging from the sky and was afraid all the pictures would be crap. That's what they looked like on the LCD screen. But the haze actually let some of the subtleties of the color variations come out.

This hare (Lepus europaeus) is running towards me. Moments and a few stops later it was sitting only two metres (six and a half US feet) away from me. After a short while it quietly went on. I heard about it only last week. 'We have this hare that is not afraid of humans.' We know the hare as shy and afraid and are puzzled by this strange behaviour.

Im afraid they are inclined to take their "friendlies" just a little bit too serious though!

For years we in Ireland, especially on the east coast assumed that we had Viking ancestery but it actually works out that we are more Spanish than anything else. The Vikings didnt mix with the natives and married amongst their own. Indeed, we called them " The Dark Foreigners " which is not a very complimentary name.

Of course now I know where my devastaing good looks come from! With my tanned skin, brooding good looks, jet black hair and my dark brown eyes. Im a fine figure of a man really! Only thing I cant understand is that the rest of us have red hair and freckles! Ill have to ask my Mum. Mum...., remember you told me you had a Spanish holiday years ago before I was born? What year was that Mum!.......................Mum!.. mum mum. What??????....................................Lol!
