With friends, we completed a ~9km hike in a beautifully quiet part of Parc de la Gatineau today. Temperatures were relatively mild for this time of year, and the effect was a cool foggy atmosphere.

So this is a mix between the adventures theme and Indiana Jones. This took me way too much time and so did the editing. I hope it's pleasing enough.
I took inspiration for the figs from Jonas (-Wat-) and Norlego
Tilt your head a tad to the right to see it's nothing more sinister than Sefton's new Marine Park Adventure Centre, with some high rise Sefton council flats reflected on the lake.
The sun sets on Mt. St. Helens and the Washington Cascades, as viewed from Mt. Adams.

Exploring Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon in Iceland was one of my favourite experiences ever. It was a dramatically beautiful place.
This image was taken up on the, Snowy Mountains not far from Australia's Australia's highest mountain. We managed to get some freaky conditions - ice and then alter into the evening some amazing fog set against a full moon. It was about 12.30am and with a 20 min walk back to the tents but we were smiling.
Sub zero temps up in the mountains with mates what more could you wish I can't think of much.

I'm almost done with sorting and editing the photos from Hamburg. Now I realize with so many photos (around 40 to publish) it's hard to decide which one should go online first... So let's start with a Sigfig photo.
I'm spending a couple more weeks with my grandchildren so there hasn't been much time for photography (other than shooting their beautiful faces).
I am excited for new adventures. This image is how I see the new year. Bring it on 2016!

I can't believe I'm finally finishing this project! In some ways, it feels like it's been going on forever but in others feels like I only just started it. Either way, I know starting and actually finishing a 365 has helped me massively, despite me thinking I'd never be able to do it.
However, I'd never have been able to finish this without a few certain people - all the amazing friends I've made via flickr, friends who've modelled for me throughout the project (especially Katie) for coping with my strange concepts, but most of all Angharad for constantly giving me advice or helping me find the perfect quote for a photo (she also found the quote for this photo), and Jordan for coming with me on many shoots and helping with everything in general I needed to do.
p.s. I'll definitely be back uploading frequently again soon!

The last shot in my review of the year. We had driven past this castle on many of our adventures in North Wales so we decided to make it the target of its own adventure.
We arrived in the dead of night and managed to find the steepest climb up to the castle possible. I have to say it is the first time I have spent a night in a castle watching the stars, quite an experience.
I have had a particularly enjoyable year of photography this year in no small way due to the company I have had on these adventures. A big thank you to Geoff for putting up with me, keeping me awake on the drive (especially the London trip) always buying breakfast and for being as mad as me :-)
My two nieces decide to explore the creek on a hot summer day in Tokyo, Japan where they live with their parents. This is just moments before my older niece gets a face-full of spiderweb and splashed back towards me screeching.

Well, I don't often post images of myself like this, but that canyon light is just too enticing! I couldn't get over that reflected light creating some unbelievable colours and warmth in the image.
Despite all that lovely light, there wasn't much of a scene until my lovely girlfriend Courtney decided to help me create some interest.

Denholm Morris will likely never be one of the "greats." He was positively average in everything he did, and led an uneventful life.
But everyone who lived on Pelican Island was an inventor, and so was Denholm. If he could have been considered "good" at anything, it was balloons.
All it takes to turn a dormouse into dinner is a strong breeze, and that's all it took to put Denholm on the path to adventure.
