Taken at Uisge Ban Falls Provincial park, on Cape Breton Island, in Nova Scotia, Canada.
I didn't take this path, I took main trail to the waterfalls, but I can testify that the river you'd follow on this particular trail is incredibly beautiful.
The beautiful mountains of Hanmer Springs, the epic thrillseekers in the Waiau Gorge, the feelings of adventure on a summers day are endless!
The Grand Enchantment Trail is a roundabout long-distance route from Phoenix to Albuquerque. This part took us through the Magdalena Mountains in New Mexico as part of a two week backpacking trip.

One more from the recent Vermont & NY Adventures with Campanini - the SNEX 5012 enters Shushan, NY with five hoppers for the mills just a few miles to the north. The Battenkill can be seen traveling down the former D&H Washington Branch an average of about once a week, occasionally with the 5012 in charge as historically appropriate for the location. The story I heard is that the unit is leased from Southern New England Rail as a result of an increase in traffic occasionally requiring a second unit to pull the heavy loads up the branch to the mills, and with one of the RS3s out of service an alternate solution was found. The entire northbound run back towards Salem is generally backlit, so the already excellent weather conditions with storm clouds in the background and bright sky behind me proved even more rewarding.
RKO_1331. Looking into the archives I came across this image, taken at Masai Mara some years ago! A real adventure flying in such small aircraft, even after a long carrier in airline business! Can't wait to return.....

Coming out of the mountains from the Death Valley National Park, I pulled over to take some photos. The panic attack it caused my wife was well worth it.
A mother loon sticks very close to her baby when not hunting for food. On this magical July morning in 2019 I was treated to a private show as this female and her mate devoted 100% of their time feeding and protecting their lone chick. Common loon adults will tend to their young for the first three months of its life before it becomes independent. My epic, loony adventure is chronicled in an article and video on my website at www.terifranzenphotography.com/the-call-of-the-loons/
Why did love put a gun in my hand?
Why did love put a gun in my hand?
Why did love put a gun in my hand?
In my bed, in my head, in my hand
Was it for redemption?
Was it for revenge?
Was it for the bottle?
Was it for the ledge?
Was it for the thrill of pushing my hope to the edge?
Why did love, why did love put a gun in my hand?
Why did love, why did love put a gun in my hand?
Why did love put a knife in my heart?
Why did love open up my scars?
Why did love put a knife in my heart?
In my bed, in my head, in my heart
Was it for redemption?
Was it for revenge?
Was it for the bottle?
Was it for the ledge?
Was it for the thrill of pushing my hope to the edge?
Why did love, why did love put a gun in my hand?
Why did love, why did love
Why did love put a gun in my hand?
(Why did love, why did love, why did love)
Put a gun in my hand (why did love, why did love)
Why did love put a gun in my hand?
Whoa in my hand

My brother and my nephew viewed through the remains of a bin. They are heading to the 'horror house' - a derelict house with lots of graffiti. They may have added some of their own ...
I took Critter for an early morning adventure although it was probably more for me than him. I get a bit sick of seeing the same thing and doing the same thing day in day out as i am sure he does as well, so off we went and found a place to watch the sun come up.
It took him a while to settle but once he did he was totally fine and it was great to see new scenery and get photos of him in a different setting.
It is only in adventure that some people succeed in knowing themselves - in finding themselves.

Driving back along a dirt road I spotted these 2 having their early morning adventure.I always love to see couples going on adventures together. The sea was like a lake this day and SO clear.
My friend Hanna sent me this picture. She went to Morocco to visit her family and her boys are having a wonderful adventure.
Adventure 14 was notable in that instead of the normal two togs we were joined by Andy Bennett.
I have tried to photograph this waterfall every time i have been to Idwal and never been entirely happy with it, this time I thought i would try it in b&w
I found adventure 3, to Cutsdean Wood, one of the more interesting photographically. I always say to Geoff that he sees the smaller details much better than me, I am far more comfortable with big landscapes. Going to an enclosed location like a wood found me struggling for compositions with my normal wide angle lenses. I had just purchased a 70-200 lens and when i put this on the camera it made me think of my compositions completely differently. I now use this lens a lot in my landscape work.
Scene from Big Bend National Park. To me, exploring nature is usually an adventure. I love getting the exercise and enjoying the best part of the day when many people are still asleep! If I happen to have my camera with me, that makes the experience even better. Many times I am simply up during pre-dawn hours just to get some running in before the Texas heat kicks in later in the day.
The final installment of my review of 2016 Adventures with Geoff Moore. Thank you for the lovely comments that you have left on my review images, I have enjoyed reading them.
I thought I would finish with a more traditional landscape and one that is no too dark.
It has been an interesting year and meeting up with Geoff has certainly widened my photographic horizons. I have already started work on putting together a list for 2017
This is a colour version of a shot I posted earlier as a B&W, a 5 frame vertical panorama stitched together in lightroom
I have struggled for a new shot from this adventure, i worked out that I had uploaded 37 images from this one day already.
Taken on the London Flickr meet, Geoff and I decided to make the most of a trip to London. we arrived at about 1am to try some night urban work and it certainly made it a long , but productive, day.
We met up with a number of flickr contacts and spent the day taking photographs, it was so interesting to see how other photographers worked and I got to try some street photography which I had always avoided.
Adventure is out there for those who seek it. Backcountry snowboarding through deep powder. Asahidake, Taisetsuzan National Park, Hokkaidō, Japan
