Reflections of a recent vacation to Goa...snap 5
Red-pinkish desert rose flowers blooming in a garden between the local ethnological museum and Saint Vincent's Elementary School . Bontoc-Mountain province-Cordillera region-Luzon island-Philippines.
I made this photo of these Adenium obesum Desert Roses while strolling through the Potted Plants Gallery of the Conservatory of Flowers in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. Melody and I were attending a special after hours fundraising event for the Victorian Greenhouse. Though it was early in the evening, the light was still limited - making photography a bit tricky. I shot this at 1/30 second using my Canon Powershot SX50.

HDR image of my desert rose plant flowering for the first time. I waited over two months from when I got it and the thing had grown over a foot and a half, but no flowers! Finally it bloomed and it was well worth the wait.
I think I can call this my first successful HDR. I must say it was a lot easier and the result was better using photomatix than photoshop to do the HDR steps.
*Tad bit confused though. Depending on what I look at the image with the colors are either very bright and vivid or more toned down. Not sure why it keeps changing the way it looks depending what I use to look at it with. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
The cleaning is finished. Look at what was under the soil line. This plant wasbeginning to make it's old pot mishapened.
