Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. Our legal and socially acceptable addictions on display here. Nicotine, caffeine and our new addition to mobile technology. I just loved the composition here and timed the shot to make the most of the trailing smoke. Enjoy!
Addiction grips us all in one form or another. It takes us over, and makes us feel weak and hollow without our substance of choice.
Drugs, Internet, Food, Television, Alcohol. These are the things that plague us.
This custom built set, which included a pool of water, a harness for the model, and hundreds of feet of tubing, was all completed in the Phlearn studio.
This shoot was no easy job for Rufio!

For this shoot we used 40 Ikea vases, tubing from Home Depot, a fog machine, and dry ice to create a custom- built, unique set.

I was waiting in the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata, India lobby for IndiGO Airbus A370 to arrive as I had to travel Chandigarh for my study. So I took my gadget from the backpack and start shooting some photos.

Before last year ended, I decided to post less regularly here unless I know I’ve got something extraordinary—quality over quantity. I’m critical and picky in life, and so is my photography.
I was deliberating about posting this one. The reason for that is two branches sticking out from the left corner. They are a bit sufficient for me. But overall, I love the mood and the composition.
There is something distinguishly beautiful in minimalism both in photography and in life. Usually, I’ve shot this tree from a different angle. Somehow that was the most optimal angle for my eyes. I don’t really know what allured me towards shooting this perspective of the tree. Looking at it now, I obviously like the minimalist tone of the photo but other than that red foreground from the bare bushes and fog around are the winning combo for me. I’ve noticed to be attracted with this pale vibrate contrast recently.
This whole morning was such a dopamine boost for me. I previously wrote, in one of my other posts here, that I had been waiting for this sort of condition in my local area for more than nine months. And seeing the fog that morning I wanted to use the most of it. Photography is becoming a big plus for my mental health and well-being. I am currently on a hunt for a new job and I’m so anxious if I find something that will disable me from going for my early morning walks in the nature that are now a habit. I could say even an addiction. But that is another story.
Sometimes I feel the need to go somewhere just for the purpose of photographing. In recent times my favourite time for photography is morning. After I come back home from the location I was shooting I always feel so much better. So I hope I will be in a position to fulfill my addiction as long as I feel the need to

It's time to admit that i'm addicted to receding perspective / v-shapes formed by trains on platforms... and reflections.
