Day 22: A song that you listen to when you're sad.
"Addiction is the only prison where the locks are on the inside."
trying to break an addiction to candy. I kicked candy and now seem to be stuck with quotations, which are attacking my brain instead of my teeth :-)

So I've been gone a long time now and it's all thanks to my decision of getting a new console last year :P
Aaaaand Witcher 3 just had to go on discount and take up 80% of my free time, so blame their stupidly freaking UH-mazing open world for dragging me away from building.
...
....okay fine it's my own fault, and I'm still taking my own sweet time with the game.
Anyhow, I'm back and I've got a couple of new builds coming up this week! Namely a couple of game-related builds and another mech :D

PS. If anybody plays the PS4 here as well, I'll be glad to add a new friend! My PSN ID's franks127.
They say you end up chasing your first time. Which, of course, you can never catch. Because life and fate and whatever forces conspired to put us here on Earth compel us to keep moving forward, and that first time can only keep retreating farther and farther behind us.
And yet. That same dumb, unfightable, unending sleepwalk into the future is made more bearable – desireable, even – by its psychological twin. Hope. Which springs from uncertainty and lets us believe that… hey, you just never know what’ll happen.
On one level that’s true. We cannot foresee the future in detail.
And sometimes that allows us to ignore the fact that we can make general assumptions about it… based on our experience.
If your first time is A1, and the second A2, and so on… and you get to A77,001… and each experience is somewhat less enjoyable than the first… logic dictates that, in all probability, A77,002 will be less enjoyable still.
And yet. Some part of us wants to believe that the universe is entirely random; that anything can happen at any time for any (or no) particular reason; and therefore, it is possible that, at some point, the diminishing-enjoyment trend will turn on its head.
And so we keep hope alive.

OK. I admit it. I am a chocolate addict. And I am a chocolate snob. I can't stand most American or Japanese so-called chocolates. There are few luxuries finer than few bites from a Lindt Milk Chocolate bar. I was happy to get the last one this night.
With the huge increase in the popularity of smartphones these days, everyone on the street seems to be glued to their smartphones like zombies and talking less to each other.
I have to admit, i love Flickr... i just can't get out of here, even if i have no time to upload...

The last couple of weeks have been busy helping my niece make some big decisions for her father's care. Proud to see the woman she has become, and sad to see what alcohol addiction can do to a life.
I have been trying to get out of my comfort zone and take advantage of the high ISO on my new camera. I would never have thought that I could go 1600 and not have noise. Raising it was exactly what I needed to get this shot from being blurred. I took one other at my usual ISO 200 and it was terrible. I'm a believer!
