"Float Your Fanny Down The Ganny"
This boat race marks the anniversary of the Great Flood of 1980 on the Ganaraska River at Port Hope, Ontario. Canoes, kayaks and "crazy craft" race 10k down the "Ganny" (it would defifitely be christened that in Liverpool too). Prizes are given for fastsest, best fancy dress, craziest craft, most people on a craft etc.
Canadians were unaware that "fanny" means something else this side of the pond!
More mini-mandalas added. These go quickly since I'm so used to drawing these designs but still take a fairly long time to complete. I am working with Liquitex black gesso. I only stop when my right elbow and shoulder begin to ache.
It is at this point that I start to realize that I might be slightly insane.
More paint and details added to the mandalas. Scrape, scrape.
Everyone listens to the prayer giving thanks to God for our strong bodies and for the chance to race.
The tiramisu blanket ended up too small, so I added a row of single crochet, then decided to add a double crochet row to make it go faster. Progress.
