This Christmas, I decided that I was going to be brave enough to jump into the kitchen with my dad and help make dinner for the family. This photo is the result. I'm frantically trying to chop shallots to make more quince balsamic vinaigrette, as the first time I did it, I didn’t make enough. Therefore, in this photo, I’m learning how to wing it on a tight schedule. It’s rare that I’m ever under pressure in my own kitchen, but here, I really learned how to pull my stuff together so that our “customers” could be served on time.
