"Well, here's to safe travels and new friends"Jake said as they raised their drinks"

"Cheers!" they all said together,

"Next stop, Scotland!" Laughed Willie!

Old friends meeting again!

Lilla retired from the sea ages ago. Her old pal has sailed the seven seas many times over. Now he is visiting Lilla's harbour town.

New custom for the Harley...

The Adventure Team has been sent to Southeast Asia to investigate sightings of a new species of wild Tiger Striped Canines. The Land Adventurer checks through the saw grass to see if one is in the area.

So on this trip I found some really great dolls! A Disney Store Elsa (whose hair needs some serious care), a My Scene guy doll, a vintage Teresa and a gorgeous black barbie (Shani?) doll, a Moxie Teenz doll(!!!) and an Action Man figure in a spacesuit!

Also found was a mini Bratz doll, a mini backpack and a Bambi figure!

Jake and Jenna make their way into the labyrinth of caves at the centre of Dinosaur Valley.

Bought this baby last week for only €3,- in a thrift shop.

May you have an exciting and adventurous 2015!

Continuing the USAF Security theme, this photo depicts two airmen on security duty at an airfiled in the early 1960's.

There's not much needed to depict the airfield security team. The basic GI Joe soldier just needs black boots and a carbine in order to look like USAF Airfield Security from the 60's. The funky Fidel Castro style hat is right-on for the early 1960's. (I had no idea how common this was for this era Air Security until I started to research it. The cap is also known as a Ridgeway cap.)

This is a very common basic uniform for USAF security personnel of the 60's.

All figures and accessories depicted here are Hasbro 40th Anniversary GI Joe figures and sets. As a bonus, these two GI Joe Soldiers are from the JC Penny Mountain Troops set, which came with black boots from factory.

Sally LaSalle, Girl Reporter of "Maid for Adventure" fame, and Charles "Chas" Anderson on assignment for Hearst Movietone Newsreels.

Two GI Joes depict the training of USAF Security Police circa 1972.

All items are 40th anniversary reproductions, except for the blue helmets...those are reproductions from Cotswold.

Vintage Gi.joe in Action Man outfit.

The GI Joe Adventure Team is on a recon mission along the upper banks of Ralston Creek. Mike Powers the Atomic Man along with a GI Joe Adventurer map and survey the area.

A repro Gi.joe in a modern Captain Scarlet uniform. The hat is diy, made of a knock-off 70's Gi.joe cap modded with a bit of green-stuff.

GI Joe, Action Man

The (custom) Action Man Highland Adventurer is always ready for action! 40th Anniversary parts and a re-flocked head by Flocktastic.

These will be the last shots from inside Jake's current study, so Jake takes five with his dogs, Brutus and Monty.

Dire Wraiths beware! Rescued from the loft, my childhood Rom not only complete with his original accessories but still fully functioning too... though he lost the 'fingers' on his right hand long, long ago :(

Made by Parker Bros in 1979 he hit UK shores in 1980 he was officially added into Palitoy's Action Man range as an ally of their fledgling Space Ranger sci-fi line (the eagle-eyed will spot the remains of a rotted rubber Space Ranger suit stuck to his lower left leg from his time in storage).

He's holding his feared Neutralizer but also pictured are his other two accessories, the Energy Analyzer and the two-handed Translator.

Dr. Quinzel: “Mm. See, my group, the Quintettes. I’ve nevah been able to have five. I always have foah and the fifth one dies. I think it’s a coise. But I gotta keep tryin. If I stop tryin I’d have to stop callin em the Quintettes. And that wouldn’t woik.”

Carol: “What happens? You kill tha fifth one?”

Tuesday 5.Jan ~ A ~ Action man & Ape.

No Face, Gangrene and Dalek Sec share a pint or two in the Ammo Arms, under the watchful eye of Joe and Uncle Bob!

"Her you go Hank, a fresh pint of Atomic Ale" Joe says as he hands Hank his pint. one of many it must be pointed out!

Finally I have a nice Napoleonic French trooper in the ranks of my vintage Action Men. Bought the jacket and backpack on Evilbay (from the did Frank figure) and made up the rest from some leftover lolly. The white bands wich hold the pouch and bayonet scabbard (both home-made from some fake leather) are actually bra straps. The gun isn't excactly historacly correct but it will do for now (modded french foreign legion gun). I made the shako from a toilet roll modded with green stuff. Came out pretty neat. All he needs now is a sword.

Midway through what looks like a back-breaking climb, Action Man still manages to pose for the camera. He's a legend...

Great finds today! As I mentioned before, I got the Action Man I wanted. He gives me a Dirty Cop vibe, which I love! In the same shop, I found Pocahontas' Nakoma doll (!!!!!!) and Shrek's Donkey plush! I already have a 12 inch Shrek doll, so expect a shoot in the future!

I also got a Top Model Barbie (!!!!!) (with a very dirty face that thankfully washed clean), a vintage Steffie faced Barbie with a hair tie as a skirt, and an articulated TnT Barbie with a pretty face!

The 'Thomas' lunchbox bag was bought for doll clothes storage!

My boys are being held up by Rommel near Evreux, if we move east to Vernon your guys of the 82nd flank the infantry forces while the French Resistance distract them with a surprise attack on their reserves. If everything goes to plan, we cut a hole in their defence and might take Berlin by Christmas...

It's a daring plan mon ami, we only get one chance to do this right...I will inform Pierre about the plan, bonne chance gentlemen!

Nooooooo Professor Kelp! Don't touch the Aston Martin!!! Photo Erwan Le Vexier 2006 #jamesbond #astonmartin #Q #corgi #corgitoys #onesixthscale #sixthscale #12inchfigure #actionfigure #jouet #jouets #toyphotography #professeurkelp

Finally: a 12 inch version of my beloved childhood friend :D

Dr Evil and Professor Gangrene have offspring!?! How? Who? Still, little Evil seems excited to see Santa (he wants a new ray gun... pew pew pew!) and little Clammie is as polite as friendly as ever (she can't really be Gangrene's daughter can she?), though moody teenager Gony is bored stiff.

Yeah, Cammie and Gony are their shortened names... Gangrene named them in the family tradition, he thought they were good names for girls :S
