Got my hands on a Swann Freestyle HD which I'll be comparing to the Already well established GoPro.

I used soft foam for covering the microphone hole. The camera is easily pressed into the camera case with the foam in place. Some folk claim there is a rattle in some of these cameras, so I'll add a piece of soft foam to both sides to quieten it if there is a problem. To make it easier to remove the camera from the case, I'll also add a piece of folded back tape to the camera backing to use in removal. I have made this same mod on both my GoPro cameras, too. GoPro uses the same thing on their batteries for easy removal by pulling on the tape when extracting the battery.

In early October, 2021, we took our cameras inside the ICC for the exciting The Sun Machine Is Coming Down, and it was great to take pictures inside this massive building.
The microphone hole was drilled right through the white tether mount that was stuck onto the clear plastic housing. I'll add some soft foam inside the case to prevent dust and wind buffeting. This may or may not improve the audio capture for this camera, but we shall see. It does mean that the camera housing is no longer waterproof, but I don't do water video anyway, so no problem for me.
Although few Egyptians today can or would trace lineage to a specific mummified body or monumental tomb where these remain undisturbed, if somehow a database of the living and the dead were compared, perhaps there would be evidence of descent. In that case it would be unappealing to know that one's ancestor is exposed to public view and interpretive commentary, or even if not in public display, then relegated indefinitely for ancient DNA research. In life the person mummified had one name and in death there is another one. And yet, even if the names mean nothing special to people alive today, the name does humanize and personalize the physical remains of the person privileged enough to undergo the extensive preservation processing.
A similar tension between the dead and the living goes on with regard to human (skeletal) remains that can be affiliated or traced in connection with living populations today; for instance the many Native American exhumations that used to fill the storage shelves of university museums and research laboratories around the USA. Or there are the bodies uncovered during Japanese excavation seasons on the far north island of Hokkaido, some identifiable as Ainu, but others distinct from those and associated with an earlier time named the Okhotsk (as in the Okhotsk Sea). In the case of the USA since the 1993 NAGPRA law, case by case decisions are made to return the remains for reburial or other modern-day traditional forms of honoring those ancestors. Try to center a hole into the middle of this plastic piece. The hole needs to be large enough to allow the 1/4" plastic bolt to be run through it to secure the mount to the helmet.

Tinfoil Hat DH was my introduction to Valemount 4 years ago when we first visited. I could swear it was a black trail back then, either way always a guaranteed good time with some black optional jumps.

For ten days in October 2021, the brutalist concrete structure known as the International Congress Centre Berlin was open to the public as a unique experience of film, performance and art. We visited the ICC Berlin on the first few days of The Sun Machine is Coming Down, a celebration of the 70th anniversary of Berliner Festspiele.
Since we are big fans of brutalist architecture, visiting the International Congress Centre Berlin was always in our sight. This gorgeous landmark of German architecture is massive beyond comparison, making it one of the largest congress venues in the world.
