In downtown Chicago, one of the many movable bridges that cross the Chicago River. It is by far one of my favorite bridges, the Clark Street Bridge.

I am off for a few days to Philadelphia. Be back soon!
Came across this swamp land in a clearing and was struck by the bleach white cadavers of trees. A stark reminder of how fragile nature truly is.

near Hyder, Alaska.
Another composition in this beautiful place.
The drive from Stewart, BC to Salmon Glacier runs for a few miles through Alaska, in the locality of Hyder, before entering again British Columbia, where the glacier is located. However, there are no US customs or immigration office, and Hyder is a real end-of-the-world place. A few weeks later, grizzly bears would be roaming the area, in their quest for salmons. But this was too early in season.

Coming towards the end of this walk across the fields to St Mary's Chuch. Thanks for coming on my virtual walk with me - I hope you enjoyed your little tour around this corner of East Sussex. Tomorrow's walk will be in a completely different part of the country!

Two MP15Ts (!!!), 1200 and 1219, take a batch of four new ES44C4s for the FEC across the drawbridge. Whoever decided to use two MP15Ts for this operation, I LOVE YOU!!
After doing some initial work in Capture NX2 for saturation, brightness, and contrast, I exported a TIFF image to work in Color Efex Pro 4. It was then that I ran across a favorite recipe that seemed to really compliment the late afternoon light, adding those warm colors, shadows, and light that comes around sunset.
