Happy April Fools.
Acitrezza, Sicily, these photos are bizarre but not fake, just HDR'ed and lightpainted, with liberal use of Lee filters.

While I was busy to shot the seascape I saw this freighter at the horizon, so I changed readily lens to capture it sailing under the strong sunlight. Aci Castello (CT), Sicily.

For a couple of days I have been checking weather forecast. I wanted a specific light: the sunlight filtering through the clouds.
During the first hours of the morning, I left and went to Acitrezza. The sky was covered by too many clouds so I already knew that the picture I had in mind wouldn't have come out.
When I arrived there, everything was dark, the clouds were compact and a light breeze caused the waves to hit stones and rocks.
I took different shots but, while making a long exposure, the clouds started to separate from each other, letting the sunlight go through.
Probably the scenery that I had in mind was starting to take shape.

I decided with my cousin to go to photograph the coast near Acitrezza during dawn.
The weather conditions were not ideal to create the kind of pictures I wanted.
The only good thing of that day was the wind. So, I tried to do something different: to follow the waves with the method of panning.
I made the panning without the tripod and the result seems a a brush stroke in the sea.
