A ISCTE Business School (IBS) organiou a 16ª edição do IBS Career Forum (Feira de Emprego) nos próximos dias 6 e 7 de fevereiro, contando com a presença de 95 das maiores empresas recrutadoras em Portugal, a maior participação desde a sua génese. Este ano, o arranque do evento teve como convidados especiais, João Leão, Secretário de Estado do Orçamento, e Allan Katz, anterior embaixador dos Estados Unidos em Portugal. Confirmada está também a presença de 41 CEOs e Presidentes das maiores empresas a operar em Portugal num pequeno-almoço debate no dia inaugural do fórum. No segundo dia do evento, Miguel Cabrita, Secretário de Estado do Emprego, será o orador convidado e decorrerá um encontro com 25 Diretores de Recursos Humanos para apresentação e discussão de temas atuais ao nível do capital humano.
O IBS Career Forum ocorre depois de, no ano de 2018, a escola ter reforçado a sua visibilidade nacional e internacional, integrando o grupo dos 30 melhores mestrados em finanças do mundo e dos 70 melhores mestrados em gestão também na Europa, segundo os rankings do Financial Times. Um indicador de destaque nestes rankings é a avaliação do Career Services, com uma contribuição significativa das elevadas taxas de empregabilidade da escola – 95% para recém-licenciados e 99% para recém-mestres. Estes marcos apenas foram alcançados porque, em 2016, a escola obteve a acreditação AACSB, detida por menos de 5% das escolas de gestão a nível mundial.

O IBS Career Forum é um evento líder de recrutamento em Portugal e junta os decisores de topo na área de recursos humanos de vários setores da economia, com destaque para a banca, os seguros, a auditoria e a consultoria, bem como o retalho, os serviços e a tecnologia. O evento será marcado por apresentações institucionais, por parte das empresas, que incluem os respetivos processos de recrutamento e seleção, pela realização de Speed Interviews (entrevistas com duração 5 minutos), e por Business Breakfasts (pequenos-almoços que juntam na mesma mesa recrutadores e estudantes).

Globally, nearly half of all adults are financially marginalized and do not have a back account. For the unbanked, it is a challenge to gain access to banks and the services they offer. For banks, it is a challenge to reach the unbanked. At this two-day conference on financial inclusion, more than 50 researchers and financial industry leaders from around the world presented original research and experiences in bridging the gap between the unbanked and the banking sector. Dr. Guillermo Ortiz, chairman of Grupo Financiero Banorte-IXE, current member of G30, and former governor of the Bank of Mexico delivered the conference keynote address. Additional sessions focused on microfinance, remittances, and mobile banking. This event was organized by the SWIFT Institute and HKS’ Ash Center and Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government.

Here are the basic raw results of the surveys in 2009 and 2012. The percentages correspond to percentage of companies offering the particular type of plan.
HRA, Health Reimbursement Account grew from 13% (2009) to 18% (2012).
HSA, Health Savings Account grew from 19% (2009) to 34% (2012).
PPO, Preferred Provider Organization fell from 92% (2009) to 79% (2012).
HMO, Health Maintenance Organization fell from 46% (2009) to 38% (2012).
The conclusions about the Health Reimbursement Account and other trends that we can draw from the surveys are as follows:
3 years 2009-2012 have seen the passage of the ACA (Affordable Health Care Act of 2010), and tremendous, up to 8% per year increase of health care costs. The overwhelming trend is the shift from traditional HMO and PPO type plans to modern, cost saving Consumer Driven Health Plans, of the HRA and HSA type.
