A lot of people say "How many pictures can a person take of the beach???" (or whatever subject).
It's easy for us to say we have photographed everything there is around us...
the challenge is to find new ways of capturing the same subject.
I am constantly challenging myself to see the same things differently...
on this day it was one of my numerous trips to Driftwood Beach at Big Talbot Island State Park.

There’s no date sign for this church but it’s the final resting place of a famous cleric who died in 1625, so it’s at least that old. Another church in the area with similar doors is dated 1500-20.
The wood is in poor condition but at least these doors can be photographed easily. The older and bigger wooden doors on the local cathedral are in much better condition and feature more elaborate carving but they’re behind protective glass.
Taken by my phone in 2016 at the staircase in my boarding house -- an abstractive reflection of light on the wall, a stair handle is horizontally located beneath the shadow.
The two-colour contrast is atmospheric in terms of abstracting black and white photographs.
The image was taken unexpectedly and spontaneously, because the view would last only for a certain period. Therefore, this view could only be captured through my handy phone, which is always the case when a view sparks my inspiration under any type of environment.
