At Fotokring Flits we formed mentor groups guided by fotobond mentor Gijs van Gent. For my subject for the year 2011-2012 I chose abstract water. This is the first series, it was still rather experimental but did form the basis for the rest of the year.
Photo for October 30, 2011. Day 303.
A little abstract texture for today's photo. Red plate on stainless steel.
This is the abstract piece I produced for the final poster outcome also produced using oil paints. (December 2013)
Four shots all taken from on the Claerwen dam in the Elan valley, Powys. Each completely different, showing a different thing, but each with an abstract quality.
I find it interesting that I can get four such dissimilar shots in a tiny area (probably within 50 paces at most). This one was part of the top of the dam wall. The greenish lichens were abundant on the upper surface but didn't like the vertical walls at all.
