On the night of July 3, 2022 I sat in my daughters front yard that overlooks the city of Dubuque, Iowa. The fireworks are shot over the Mississippi River at quite a distance from where we were watching them being fired up into the night sky. I used many settings on my camera, sports, landscape, creative auto. etc. I got some amazing images that make many of the fireworks look abstract and not your usual fireworks display. this bit of tile was extracted from a gigantic work titled "The Urban Portraits" created by 9th grade students of Gateway Charter High School in the fall of 2006.
Abstracted view of the front doorways and windows of Charlton Crescent, Charlton Place, Islington, London. These Georgian terraced houses were built during the 1790s by architect James Taylor.
Another abstracted architecture shot taken in downtown Calgary on an epic photographic journey back in February.
It sure has been a lot of fun making these abstracted reworkings of my photos!
