An odd doorway in Sitges, Spain, back in 2016, a long time before lockdown....
I'm taking this time to look at old photos.
The fourth in my 'Scratchtract' quartet. Detail shots of an industrial waste container seen in north London.

Is it the shadow of the torso, legs and feet of some kind of elongated "monster" roaming our village? No, it is just what I thought was an interesting "abstract reality" capture. The "monster" is the shadow of the stair rail next to this set of outdoor stairs. The stark shadows were produced by strong, slanted sun on a winter afternoon.
Location: Outdoor stairs serving a "pocket park" near Dominikushaus Altersheim in Riehen BS Switzerland.

... probably can't use this for the macromonday group's theme of erasers, given the parameters... (a little later after reading the whole of the narrative on the theme), or maybe i can since it's like a chalk board eraser and chalk erasing eraser is allowed :)
as an aside...... when you clone out a hair in a picture of an object in post-processing, it doesn't automatically clone out the mirror image's hair ~grin~
Detail shot on the See Monster 'art' installation (a repurposed North Sea Oil Rig) in Weston super Mare, Somerset.
The beauty of grasses stir the imagination and delight the eye as they flow with ight and breezy moments.
The different views of these meadow grasses merge in my mind's eye.

Abstract Reality. Shadow of an iron fence on cement tiles, in strong afternoon light. This photo brings my total postings on Flickr to 1500.
Location: Village of Riehen BS Switzerland.
In my album: Dan's Miscellany.
Just a bit of abstract reality, created by bright, late afternoon sun,
followed by a square crop of the original photo.
It's yet another photo made possible by being accidentally
in the right place at the right time.
Location: Steps leading from the overlook, down to
Lower Wenkenpark, Riehen BS Switzerland.
In my album: Dan's Miscellany.
I created this for my friend Janeen. She’s having a really hard time. She has told me today that her cancer is back and it is terminal. It’s just a shame,it’s a crying shame. So I thought I would send this to her for inspiration, to have some light to focus on. A candle, ray of hope. I’m having reservations.

Abstract/detail shot on the rocks on Polperro Beach, Cornwall. Slightly rerworked as I wasn't happy with the previous version - apologies (and thanks) to those who faved or commented on that previous version only to find it had been deleted!!
Just before our WiFi went out, we were treated to this colorful abstract. It only lasted for about a minute or so but the color blocks were totally intriguing along with the index finger pointing it out (which incidentally is not mine :)

Every war is the senseless destruction of lives
in the interests of the arms industry and a few deranged fanatics!
