We have a Contemporary Art Gallery at Ice (downstairs where I work) and loved this vibrant colourful abstract piece by Peter Vaillant called "Intermission" 122 x 183cm Acrylic on canvas. Check out thegalleryatice.co.uk

taken for Assignment 52, zoom effect. Came in 4th of 18. You are supposed to use a long exposure, and zoom in while shooting. My camera will not this, so I had to try hand held zooming. So, I did not really get the effect-- but it was sort of an interesting abstract. Really a throw away shot, but as I'm experimenting with new things, I'm posting it to my Assignment 52 group. Here's the link to learn more about the zoom effect, which is quite interesting, if one could master it: digital-photography-school.com/using-the-zoom-effect

My first try at abstract. I could never wrap my brain around abstract art until a friend gave me a bunch of mirror and I just started glueing. I'm happy with the results and have the confidence to do more, it was fun!
