Taken for Our Daily Challenge: mirror

This is a section of a huge mirror I have hanging on the wall at my front entrance. I recently purchased it to replace a painting that I had hanging there for the past five years. The painting was done by my brothers ex-wife...they divorced shortly after I hung it up there. For a long time I had been meaning to take it down and replace it with something else but I kept forgetting about it. When I would think about the fact that I need to replace it I wondered what my brother and his current girlfriend think when they come over to visit and they see it up there....eeek, awwwkward! =D Likely, they didn't even care or notice because no one ever said anything. This weekend they are both coming over for an early Mother's Day celebration with my mom at our house and they will see it for the first time...I wonder if they'll say "it was about time!" lol

Had so much fun working with shadows last week it seems that I am still finding them. I just received my new lens yesterday and wanted to try it out. It is the Canon 85mm 1.8 so I expect to be working with it quite a bit while becoming familiar with it.
