This is in the lobby of the building where I work. I notice these windows every night when I leave but they seemed extra brilliant this night. Maybe because it was raining outside or some extra cars lights but it was enough for me to snap some shots.
I’m drawn to the repetition here being broken up by variations in the tone and color then accented with the water droplets. This has a very musical feeling to me.

Pipistrello lamp: designed by the multi-talented Italian designer Gae Aulenti in 1966 for Martinelli Luce, Italy. The Pipistrello lamp has become one of the classic icons of 20th Century Design. The height can be adjusted by it's telescopic stem (height can be set anywhere from 26" to 34"). Table or floor lamp, diffused light, adjustable height with telescopic movement, diffuser of white opal methacrylate, stainless steel telescope, lacquered base and switch in white, dark brown, glossy black or satin aluminum.
The name Pipistrello is the Italian word for "bat" which can bee seen in the the shape of this lamps shade. This lamp is featured in the permanent collections of the Centre Pompidou (Paris), MoMa (New York), The Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), Museum des Arts Decorative (Montreal). Lamp is also featured in numerous design books.

Centre Pompidou (Parijs), MoMa (New York), The Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), Museum des Arts Decorative (Montreal).
This is the landscape looking down from the balloon. I was fascinated by the patterns and textures and I decided to make it more abstract looking. Olga
