Challenge #41: Shape and color

I'm still playing with abstracts. I've been scoping out things at home, playing with light to get interesting shapes to appear.

After friendly feedback from the great guys and gals in #TwPhCh I've uploaded this alternative crop, which I think works much better at emphasizing the shapes.

this started out fairly generic. as I experimented with it the balloons started to melt into each other in a sort of soft gooey colorful hodgepodge centered around a triangular aperture. came out pretty good in the end.

This was originally a picture of a tomato.

My goal for 2011 is improving on abstracts.

Taken a while ago last year when it was warm and sunny, I put these on my hard drive to save for a rainy day edit session. Which we've been having a lot recently in England. After finally fine tuning my black and white presets in lightroom I'd thought I'd run a few through and am quite pleased with the results. I also seem to have an abundance of macro insect shots to go through, so watch this space.

comments welcome....what do you think it looks like?

Flickr computer selected these photos of mine and called them Abstract Style.

This fence runs along the side of our back yard, I achieved this blurred/abstract effect by moving the camera quickly left to right during the exposure. The colors are from plants.
