SOLD Stunning combination of bright orange and soft bronze combined in this show piece necklace. As soon as I saw our challenge inspiration piece I knew I wanted to make lots of bronze leaves to hang from these fantastic Lampwork beads by BluHealer with shades of oranges soft greens and neutrals, 2 amazing Lampwork Leaf Headpins from Havana Beads and a few of these Bright Orange Carnelian faceted nuggets I've had in my stash for awhile to complete the look.

This is my interpretation of Marc Franz, Deer In the Forest (1911), painting and my entry in the March ABS challenge. Except for the red seed beads, I’ve made everything else out of polymer clay. I’ve been practicing using wire lately, so I’ve made all the links using brass wire and also used it to make a frame for the antlers, which I then covered in translucent clay. For all the other beads and the toggle clasp I’ve used white clay and chalk pastels. I love doing these challenges!
This is my entry into Art Bead Scene's February Challenge. I love these challenges, they really encourage me to create beads I wouldn’t otherwise think to make.
Except for the little labradorite beads, I’ve made all the other beads out of polymer clay, which I’ve strung on waxed linen cord. The focal beads (my skittle people) are made out of translucent polymer clay with alcohol inks and crayon inclusions. I’m really happy with how they turned out.
I don't have a blog yet, but if you're interested in the challenge, here’s the link to Art Bead Scene artbeadscene.blogspot.co.uk/

This Goddess bead is made by Teresa of Lavender Creek. I handmade the Byzantine Rose chain and used Green Girl charms, and a sturdy fine silver pod head pin by Kate McKinnon to hold the Goddess in place. I like the faceted amethysts and Swarovski Emerald Ab rounds as a small accent--they go with the flowers on the bead! Thanks, Jean
