Sleeping Beauty Castle - completed in 1992, for the park's 12 April opening, Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant stands 50 meters (160 ft) tall. The Castle is home to a dragon, which, at 27 meters (89 ft) from head to tail, was the largest Animatronic figure yet built when the park opened in April 1992. The walkthrough attraction consists of a dimly lit cavern with the large dragon sleeping silently. Occasionally it will 'wake up', puffing smoke and growling. The building also contains La Galerie de la Belle au Bois Dormant, a gallery of displays which illustrate the story of Sleeping Beauty in tapestries, stained glass windows and figures. La Boutique du Château, a shop selling Christmas ornaments year-round, and Merlin l'Enchanteur, a shop specialising in handmade glass figures, are located on ground floor.

The Vestingdagen (Fortress Days) in Hellevoetsluis, an annual multi-day event since 1979. Very popular and with lots of activities in and around the former naval base of the Netherlands. With many historic and vintage ships and vehicles, steam engines, fair and market, various types of demonstrations in the air and ofcourse on the water. Also, lots to do like short boattrips, visit the various musea, watch the naval parade and fireworks show late at night. With about 200.000 visitors in total a well attended event.

The "Landgoed Mildenburg" estate dates back to the sixteenth century. In the course of the 18th century, the Van Leyden van Leeuwen family built a country house and laid out the surrounding landscape still visible today. In even included a lighthouse and In the southwest corner of the site a variant of a starry forest with avenues and wooded areas, a copy of the labyrinth at Versailles according to an image by Charles Perrault from 1679.
The house has since been demolished and the garden has become a wilderness. Nowadays the estate is a monument and a beautiful nature reserve and managed and maintained by the Zuid Hollands Landschap. What remains for visitors is to enjoy the remaining walking routes with majestic lanes through a beech forest with many traces of the former park along the Dunes of Oostvoorne. Visitors might also like an unique Stinsenplant garden and many other features of this park.

Rupert the Bear is a character in a 1920 British children's book written by Mary Tourtel.
First appearing in the Daily Express newspaper on 8 November 1920. The comic strip is published daily in the Daily Express, with many of these stories later being printed in books, and every year since 1936 a Rupert annual has also been released.
Rupert became a popular children's hero and toys were soon introduced, especially popular in the 1960s. Well-known is the classic Rupert bear, with his red sweater, blue pants and white socks. And Rupert has a number of friends, including Bill Badger, Edward Trunk, Winky the Owl and Bungo the Bear. The Rupert toy bears from the 1960s are now collector's items, they are rare and expensive.

Fortifications - during the time of the United Provinces Hellevoetsluis was the naval port of the Admiralty of de Maze (Rotterdam) and could accommodate an entire fleet within a special land-enclosed fortress with harbour and dockyard facilities, accessible through a canal. Thanks to its strategic situation the town grew from the beginning of the 17th century to be the homeport for the Dutch war fleet. In later years the port was fortified more and more and Hellevoetsluis therefore became a unique combination of fortified town and naval port.
The Admirals Maarten Tromp, Michiel de Ruyter and Piet Heyn had their home base here and in 1688 during the Glorious Revolution William III of Orange's invasion fleet departed from the port.

De Kleine Zeemeermin (Est. 1970) - a fairy tale about a little mermaid who falls in love with a handsome human prince and longs for him so much that she makes a deal with an evil sea witch. Dominating the Dordogne valley, like a king on a throne. In medieval times it must have been even more impressive then today during a spectacular canoe trip on the Dordogne river.
The various old bridges accross the Dordogne river are part of the Dordogne valley identity and should be a history protected view. A bailey bridge and further downstream the unfinished construction of an awfull concrete modern bridge will ruin the view. Today it looks like the bridges are waiting to be demolished again, restoring the unique valley identity.

Chateau de Beynac - Château de Beynac (Est. 12th century), built by the barons of Beynac. Perched on top of a limestone cliff with double crenellated walls, moats and barbican. During the Hundred Years' War the Dordogne was the border between France and England, The fortress at Beynac was in French hands and on the opposite bank of the river, the Château de Castelnaud (build in the same century) was held by the English. The Dordogne region was the theatre of numerous struggles for influence, rivalries and occasionally battles but the castles fell more often through ruse and intrigue rather than by direct assault. The Château de Beynac is where Richard Cœur de Lion, King of England (1189–1199) died. Nowadays it's one of the best preserved castles, a monument of history and absolutely worth to enjoy the view and to visit.

Tapestry wall decoration part of the Interior design by Charles Le Brun. One of the huge highly detailed tapestries in the castle. Originally the castle was decorated with 120 of them, most of them made in the region. At first the château was lavish, refined and dazzling to behold. But Jean-Baptiste Colbert led the king to believe that the new property of his superintendent of finances Fouquet was funded by the misappropriation of public funds. Fouquet was arrested and imprisoned for life and Vaux-le-Vicomte was placed under sequestration. The king seized, confiscated or purchased 120 tapestries, the statues and all the orange trees from Vaux-le-Vicomte. He then sent the team of artists (Le Vau, Le Nôtre and Le Brun) to design what would be a much larger project than Vaux-le-Vicomte, the palace and gardens of Versailles.

Built between 1658 to 1661 as a symbol of power and influence and intended to reflect the grandeur of Nicolas Fouquet, Marquis de Belle Île, Viscount of Melun and Vaux, the superintendent of finances of Louis XIV.
The château was an influential work of architecture in mid-17th-century Europe. The architect Louis Le Vau, the landscape architect André le Nôtre, and the painter-decorator Charles Le Brun worked together on this large-scale project. This marked the beginning of the "Louis XIV style" combining architecture, interior design and landscape design. Their next following project was to build Versailles.

Mad Matters Tea Cups and garden - it's a spinning tea cup ride at five of the six Disneyland-style theme parks around the world inspired by the Unbirthday Party scene in Walt Disney's Alice In Wonderland.
The Paris version of the attraction is the only version to feature a petal-shaped glass roof and surrounding gardens. It also uses the Dormouse's teapot outside the ride, near the March Hare's Refreshments.

The Vestingdagen (Fortress Days) in Hellevoetsluis, an annual multi-day event since 1979. Very popular and with lots of activities in and around the former naval base of the Netherlands. With many historic and vintage ships and vehicles, steam engines, fair and market, various types of demonstrations in the air and ofcourse on the water. Also, lots to do like short boattrips, visit the various musea, watch the naval parade and fireworks show late at night. With about 200.000 visitors in total a well attended event.

The interior of the church is very beautiful, the three-aisled nave of this cross basilica with a large organ from 1854 are the only features of this church. The organ is still in use, there are regular concerts of which the performance of the St Matthew Passion in this historic setting is a very special experience.

Sprookjesbeelden aan Zee (Fairy Tale Sculptures by the Sea) - a free sculpture terrace on the boulevard of Scheveningen. The sympathetic sculptures by the American sculptor Tom Otterness are part of "Museum Beelden aan Zee" behind it. The more than twenty works of art depict various fairy tales, such as those of Gulliver, Hansel and Gretel, Tin Soldier, Moby Dick, Pinocchio and Hans Brinker.
Most striking is the gigantic Haringeter that has become the icon of the new Scheveningen boulevard. In total, the sculpture terrace comprises three large and twenty smaller bronze works of art with a skin of shiny patina, playfully placed on the boulevard, on islands and banisters. For photographers the glossy sculptures are a popular subject, not easy to isolate from the wandering crowds on this boulevard, but especially to capture these sculptures with some nice contrasting clouds or a sunset in the background.

De Kleine Zeemeermin (Est. 1970), it's a fairy tale about a little mermaid who falls in love with a handsome human prince and longs for him so much that she makes a deal with an evil sea witch. It is a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. The statue was originally designed by Anton Pieck and modeled by Ton van de Ven.
It's striking that she wears more clothes in the winter. And perhaps even more special during the hot summers when she's the only one in this park showing bare breasts...
