July 31, 2017. Dispatcher MW Robertson has the BB desk well at hand on the evening of July 31, 2017. But the op centers time in Baltimore is coming to a close and by the end of the year the Dispatchers will be back in Jacksonville. The BB desk controls from Casparis (just east of Connellsville) to Weverton (just west of Brunswick) as well as the S&C and Shenandoah Subs. Looking at the screens starting at the top left: preview screens for BA dispatcher to the west and I have a train sheet pulled up to update. Top middle: the railroad from Casparis to Foley on Sand Patch Grade. Top left is all the preview screens for Weverton east. Returning to bottom left is the Train Line up screen and another preview screen that I can't identify underneath, then Foley to Virginia Ave. The Lurgan and Hanover Sub preview is tucked in underneath of that. Bottom middle: West Hump to Sleepy Creek. Bottom right covers from Sleepy Creek to Weverton and the Shenandoah Subdivision. Then the menu screen for pulling up authorities and such. To the far right is the AVTECH communications screen. On the desk is the Helper sheet and my own personal note sheet I was using at the time. I enjoyed my time as a dispatcher and felt like I really could help the railroad run, but a move to Jacksonville was not for me. Back to engine service and then yardmaster in Hagerstown Maryland.
