On Saturday 28th November 2015 Arriva Kent Thameside's route 5 which operated between Southend Travel Centre and Basildon Bus Station was converted to MAX route using five refurbished vehicles displaced from the Fastrack network in Kent by new StreetLites. However despite this upgrade low patronage forced Arriva to withdrawn from operating the route the last day being Saturday 3rd September 2016.

MAX liveried and branded for route 5, Arriva Kant Thameside 3823 GN07 AVL is seen on High Road, Pitsea whilst working route 5. Saturday 6th August 2016.
