On 9th to 11th June 2017 a special shuttle service was in operation from Rochester Visitor Centre via Upnor Castle to Chatham Dockyard returning direct to Rochester in conjunction with the Battle of Medway events which included a visit of a Dutch warship to Chatham Dockyard.
Seen here on the second day of operation, MAX liveried although devoid of all branding, ARRIVA Kent Thameside (on loan to Kent & Surrey) 3823 GN07 AVL is seen passing through Chatham Bus Station whilst working back to Rochester from Chatham Dockyard. Saturday 10th June 2017.
In a surprise move former MAX Volvo B7RLE's 3820, 3821 and 3823 arrived at Gillingham from Southend in January 2017 a move which allowed three Volvo B7TL's to move to Maidstone and in turn allowed three DAF DB250 Lowlanders to go to Southend.
