One of the 17 ex-First Glasgow 62 plate ADL Enviro 300s for First Midland Bluebird's Bannockburn Depot. Only two are at Bannockburn just now however all 17 are expected to be there by the end of December and be repainted in the Midland Bluebird two-tone blue livery.

'Roid Week '10 - day 1
A beautiful sunny evening, light falling on favourite buildings on my cycle to the station after work.
Not sure why I look so mad. I really wasn't, I swear.
I can't believe it's already the 12th week of this 52 week project! This
year is flying by faster than any other year so far, but that's probably
because I'm getting older and I hear that's what happens. Time moves
quicker.
Highlight of my week would probably be today, July 4th. We planned on
staying in and watching movies but decided to take a quick drive up the
mountain, to talk and take some photos. It's nice, being able to just sit
around with someone and talk for hours about absolutely nothing but still
have the best time in the world. Today was one of those days.
Happy 4th of July!
I found the ATZ film in the fridge and got an ache for shooting roses, fresh or withered:)
See the full gallery at blanc[che] . Thank you:))

i hadn't planned on posting this, but lucy got unusually quiet a day or two later, and she died early this morning -- no idea what was wrong with her. she was an incredibly sweet-tempered bird who acted as foster mom to one of the other chicks, despite only being a week or so older -- and she was quite a lady, i always thought the gray speckles around her neck looked like a string of pearls. i will miss her.

Artistic Time Zero from the Impossible Project - this scan taken within a couple of hours of the shot, and matched as closely as possible to the colours on the original Polaroid. It looks quite different seven months later, I'll wait a little longer and share the re-scan results later this year.

Flying Virgin America from SFO to LAX during the golden hour. I was like a kid in a candy store with the light.
Flying Virgin America was one of the best flights I have ever been on. Too bad it was only 45 minutes.

If you look closely, you can see Candlestick Park, The Bay Bridge, and Downtown San Francisco.
Paul Giambarba is the genius behind Polaroid's branding in the 60's and 70's - such a clear idea of how to present a product so that it will stand out on the shelf, and define itself as a brand. The rainbow stripes and squares of the SX70 are familiar, but the older packaging is less so. Except the beautiful clean blocks of colour and bold text are what Giambarba returned to when asked by The Impossible Project to produce packaging for the last stock of Polaroid film they had. shop.the-impossible-project.com/news?date=2009-12-18&...

I found this in a charity shop in Bury St Edmunds (the flash is inside), not too expensive, and utterly priceless. It looks good on my shelf next to some of the newer Giambarba edition boxes.

(i really, really wish the person who made this tree out of red masking tape hadn't added the word "hope," but it was too good to pass up either way)
