Polaroid SX-70 / ATZ
Fifth in my series of photos inspired by this book of Polaroids by Russian film director Andrei Tarkovsky. His ability to capture simple, quiet moments just amazes me, and his feel for light is stunning.
It snowed this weekend in Cornwall. I couldn't drive anywhere far so went up the road to see if I could make polaroids work in 5 degrees.
There are people long boarding out there, and it was tiny!
every once in a while my SX-70 creates these "whoosh-y" images. not sure why or how it happens but it's kinda nifty :)

I tried manipulating my first ATZ print and didn't really like the results so I went a little overboard (to quote Dave, "dude you're ruining it!") and ended up with an accidental emulsion lift. I can't wait to try more!
