2011 February 16 - Vendpoint vending machine for mobile SIM cards and ATM machines operated by Travelex UK Ltd. Located at London Heathrow Terminal 3 between baggage claim 8 & 9.
I was able to get cash here with my American Savings bank card at a good rate ($1.67 to the pound). Skip the Bureau de Change, their rates are quite a bit higher ($1.80 to the pound) though their staff is friendly and helpful.

There are still ATM's that are unclear how they want the envelope to go in (since I irrationally believe that it's better if the machine prints the information on the correct site), but not this one.
data data data. so many devices. so many independent services. so much complication. if everything had a mini usb or a card reader could you access the internet without these stupid computer things? man computers are so annoying. something with ATM level complexity. refill your ipod. drop off some data from your camera or audio recorder, etc.
Yay, engraved typo! With this sort of thing, you'd think they'd run it by someone before they send it off to the shop to be produced. One wonders how many of these signs there are around the city...
