This facade is one of the only surviving facades from Paramounts original New York Street backlot which burnt down in 1983 (?) - this was used in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

At the main entrance to the RV park my inlaws are in they have these great palm trees. They are lit up at night making them a beacon when you are coming back later in the evening. Sure made the park easy to find.
Following the success of the Night Performance from last year's VidCon. It's back. Only this year they have one performance at night. This is one of my best shots I've ever captured on.

Signal SBJ11 on Platform 7 at Shrewsbury is one I've looked for a chance to photograph for some time with a steam loco.
Tonight looked a good opportunity with 45231 heading for Abbey Foregate for water.
What are the chances, the Black 5 moved forward at exactly the same time as the late running Holyhead to Cardiff left the platform. I suppose the steam picks out the signals nicely

Holiday Celebration at Bonneyville Mill on Sat. Nov. 7, 2015. It was a crisp but sunny day on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 when the Elkhart County Parks held their annual Holiday at the Mill from 10 am to 3pm on the beautiful grounds of the Bonneyville Mill Park. The attractions included a LIVE reindeer and a live pony to pet and take photos. There were also visits and photos with Santa who brought candy canes for good little girls and boys. In the mill, there were sample cookies made with Bonneyville Mill flour and demonstrations of grinding the famous Bonneyville Mil flours and cornmeal, which were available for sale.
Shoppers found unique crafts for sale in the One Room School House, and kids enjoyed ornament and candle making. There were also free horse drawn carriage rides!

At Lumley beach... Osman sells groundnuts and I gladly buy them and eat them. Osman had been upcountry for about 3 months- at his father's - so it was good to see him again.

I attended the 52nd Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, held December 2 to 11, 2010 at the Thomas and Mack in Las Vegas.
The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is the championship event for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association’s rodeo year.
The 2010 Wrangler NFR Barrel Racers were 2-Sherry Cervi, 8-Lindsay Sears, 12-Brittany Pozzi, 25-Brenda Mays, 49-Jill Moody, 60-Lisa Lockhart, 75-Nellie Williams, 77-Kelli Tolbert, 93-Christina Richman, 104-Sherrylynn Johnson, 110-Jeanne Anderson, 114-Tana Poppino, 115-Angie Meadors, 116-Benette Barrington, and 117-Sydni Blanchard.
Barrel racing is a high speed, athletic event that requires precision and timing. Barrel racing is primarily an event for women. Cowgirls and their horse will attempt to complete a clover leaf pattern around three barrels in the fastest time without knocking over any barrels.
The clover leaf pattern is three barrels set in a triangle formation, with the cowgirl’s being able to use either the left or right barrel as the first barrel of the pattern. The cowgirl’s run is timed by an electronic eye (a device using a laser system to record times). The timer starts as soon the cowgirl and her horse enters the arena, and will end once the pattern has been completed and the cowgirl and her horse exists the arena. The run time is dependant on several factors including arena ground conditions, the horse’s mental and physical condition, and the skill of the cowgirl.
The cowgirl and her horse will enter the arena at full speed from the alley, turn either the left or right barrel, race across the arena to the second barrel, turn that barrel, and race to the top or third barrel. The cowgirl and her horse will turn that barrel and race back down the middle of the arena and exit the arena via the alley that they entered. If a barrel is knocked over the run will have an additional five seconds added to the final time for each barrel knocked over.
Barrel racing horses are fast, agile, intelligent and very well trained.
I would like to the Thomas and Mack, the PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association), the Cowboys and Cowgirls, the stock contractors, and the fans for their support of rodeo.
Come join me for ten days of rides, the wrecks, and the unforgettable moments of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Let’s Ride!!
