This is the old Greyhound bus depot, located in Evansville, Indiana. Buses no longer run here, but it has been preserved and now features an upscale restaurant inside.

For those of you who are not mathematically inclined and may not know about these sorts of things, the designation ASA stands for Associate of the Society of Actuaries.
But that's not what this is.
Believe it or not, this is the top of a Fence Post after I brutalized it and ran it through the Meat Grinder.
Heavy duty Post Processing for sure on this puppy.
At first I was going to name it 'Medium Rare' since an earlier version looked like a nice cut of beef.
But looking at it some more along with the bright and obnoxious green, I became convinced that this is really an Alien Scab.
A little on the gross side, but that's what this is. An ASA (Alien Scab Abstract). HFF !

We spent our first night in San José del Cabo where we stayed at El Delfin Blanco owed by the friendly Swedish expat named Åsa, pronounced Osa.
She found her paradise in 1988 when she got stuck in the sand with her motorhome.
She fell in love with this little fishermen village in San José del Cabo and had made it her home ever since.
She had nothing back then, but found the quietude and friendly people of the village was all she needed.
The village had just got its electricity then, although no telephone lines were connected yet and the water had to be shipped in with a truck to El Delfin Blanco.
Åsa started then to build a small trailer park, followed by three cabañas with shared bathrooms and later on she added a couple of casitas.
The place was beautifully maintained by Åsa and her Mexican helper, the friendly Flor.
It was nice conversing with Åsa in Swedish. I found out that she was married three times and had a son and a daughter with her first husband. She loves animals and has three dogs and a cat.
"Or should I say the dogs have me," she said.
After showing us around her beautiful place, she offered us a small jar of her delicious homemade mango jam.

Driving home one evening, just before dusk, I spotted these flames leaping into the sky in the distance. As it was not far off the way, I drove by and had a look. Arrived before the fire brigade and the ambulance. The farmer decided to burn off a whole lot of old timber, a really huge pile. He just forgot to let the police, fire brigade and ambulance services know about it. Also a little too close to the biogas tanks that he had next to the fire on his farm.
Anyway, as I was leaving, 5 fire engines arrived along with an ambulance. 20 minutes later the fire was out and the farmer probably recieved a rather large bill for the whole operation.
I couldn't get any closer to the fire; the heat was so intense. And I don't think the 2 blossoming trees right next to the fire are going to survive the ordeal...
