Ii am so not good at these things...especially when I haven't had dinner. I'm also too much of an introvert to tag anyone - so if you read this and want to be, consider yourself tagged!
1. My main hobby used to be making miniature artist bears.
2. I discovered BJDs in 2009.
3. I sewed one bear in 2010.
4. I blame Aoife.
5. Honeythorpe originated with my bears in 1999 - I made up the word because my first name means honey /honeybee and there were already a plethora of variations on the melbear/bears by melissa/honey bears theme.
6. You wouldn’t believe how many people on forums assume my name is Honey and call me that.
7. It makes me uncomfortable.
8. I learnt to use a sewing machine when I was 7.
9. Despite the fact that I sewed and overlocked my own clothes, I got a D in home economics at primary school because I couldn’t hand sew a pincushion.
10. I took great satisfaction in selling a hand sewn bear to my home ec teacher’s daughter in law for lots of money.
11. More than I should have (the satisfaction - not the money!).
12. I have always wanted a pet pig.
13. Ditto for red hair
14. Aoife has both.
15. I have never wanted to be a pirate.
16. I did want to be Harriet the Spy.
17. I have never been on a fairground ride.
18. Not even a ferris wheel.
19. I always said I’d save it for Disneyland.
20. I have wanted to visit America since I was 7 and saw an article in National Geographic about small town America. Everyone else in my reading group wanted to go chase lions in Africa.
21. I am now many times older than that and the furthest I’ve been from home is Australia and New Caledonia.
22. Next year I plan to make my dream a reality.
23. If I can stop buying dolls that is.
24. Plane tickets to the US are crazy expensive! I am a poor librarian.
25. Anyone wanna go to Disney with me? (sorry, I know that’s a question not a fact!)
I am still working on my hand made ''artist book''. A little book which will be filled with stitched samples and design ideas.

Photo Series 1411 - WOMAN ARTIST - Debra DeLorean Part 2
DEBRA DELOREAN
The Girl With The Straight A's And The Double D's
Debra Delorean is a (newly) Boston-based beauty who began her neo-burlesque career in 2008 as an undergrad with Alpha Psi Ecdysia, the nation's premier college burlesque troupe. There, New York State tax dollars allowed her to study with some of the greats of NY Neo-Burlesque: Jo Boobs, Tigger!, World Famous *BOB*, and Darlinda Just Darlinda. After graduation, she moved to NYC and performed with Rhinestone Gorilla in their nostalgia-heavy theme shows, a National Tour, and the critically-acclaimed Animaniacs musical, "Good Idea/Bad Idea" (for which she was also head kitten). She has also been seen at Times Scare, Kitty Nights, Burlesque at the Beach and R-Bar in New York; and the Great Burlesque Expo and Alterna-TEASE. In order, she likes provoking: thought, uncomfortable laughter, and confusing pants sensations.

Ralph Waldo Emerson. The happiest man is he who learns from nature the lesson of worship.
Lucius Annaeus Seneca: On entering a temple we assume all signs of reverence. How much more reverent then should we be before the heavenly bodies, the stars, the very nature of God!
John Muir: All the wild world is beautiful, and it matters but little where we go, to highlands or lowlands, woods or plains, on the sea or land or down among the crystals of waves or high in a balloon in the sky; through all the climates, hot or cold, storms and calms, everywhere and always we are in God's eternal beauty and love. So universally true is this, the spot where we chance to be always seems the best.

FORT IRWIN, California -- The New 2016 Weed Army Community Hospital: A Quality of Life Benefit Realized at Fort Irwin.
The Weed Army Community Hospital replacement hospital, scheduled for completion in the fall of 2016 was conceived to improve the medical care provided to Soldiers, military families, and retirees in the Fort Irwin community.
No less important, the hospital will also support brigade-size units that rotate in and out regularly for training at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin’s largest tenant. Since 2001 rotating units have been trained at the NTC for tours to Afghanistan and Iraq and are today being prepared for deployments to potential international trouble spots, peace-keeping missions and in support of allies around the globe. The installation conducts about 10 training rotations per year.
The new facility will effectively be able to accommodate any scenario – emergency or otherwise – in support of the NTCs approximately 10 training rotations per year (more than 50,000 visiting service members) as well as maintaining its commitments to the Fort Irwin Garrison population.
This mission-critical project includes the design of a 21,600 square foot replacement hospital, clinic alterations, utility plant building, ambulance shelter, and helipad. Combining state-of-the-art facility design with innovative energy conservation and generation, the e facility will be the nation’s first carbon-neutral hospital, and it sets a precedent for future military medical facilities.
