When alalysing Monet's " Saint Lazare Station," I discovered that there was a lot of texture in his painting technique. I found it difficult to achieve this same effect with acrylic paint on its own, so I added dry artex, to give a more crumbly effect, similar to that of Monet's. i also discoved that because this was one one Monet's first paintings in his career he uses many more dark tones and colours in his painting compared to later pieces, perhaps suggesting that he perfected his technique in translating every day life through paint.

I think they got bored with the artex pattern in here and tried something else. It didn't work.
