I asked my friend and fellow artist if he would teach an art class to kids from low income families.
He said yes and I began asking for help to make this all possible from a local business. The supplies were donated and the kids spent an afternoon learning art and showing off their skills.
I purchased pizza so they could have something to eat after the class.
I grew up with art and music classes, so to be able to do this for these kids was so awesome.
So this was my first installment of Big City Arts for Big City Kids. I will be asking friends and areas business's to help me keep this project going strong.
The next outreach for these kids involves providing back to school backpacks and supplies.
