This is one of the sculptures in the sculpture garden at the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Daytona Beach. I have taken many shots of these sculptures and find the work fascinating. I believe they were done using real people and casts of them. The sculptures are "embedded" into columns, and show various body parts as if they are coming out of the blocks. The faces and bodies are of 4 different young people- 2 women and 2 men.
For 121 Pictures in 2021 #72 "Pop art style", this is meant to evoke Andy Warhol's 1961-62 paintings of 32 cans of Cambell's Soup. He painted each of the 32 varieties available back then on its own 16x20 inch canvas. The label has changed a bit over the years, and the old cans did not have the pull tab to open like this one does. But this is as close as we can come now. I think the tomato is the most well known - in fact until I started looking into it, I thought that was the only one he did. This version is a photo of the can solarized down to 16 colors, then adjusted the contrast a bit.
Again I used a photo of Obby looking at me from the chair next to my table. I inked, painted, smushed, glued, and stitched on an index card. This is the fourth in my cat series. (daisyyellowart.com)

recent piece "impermanence and eternal", created for upcoming solo show at Emerald Tablet gallery in San Francisco (June). The concept for the work in the show is the expression of Life itself. With the advent of our first real winter storm, I was eager to get some neat winter shots. It wasn't until I got my macro lens out and scrutinized the ice blobs on my screen door that I found art! That's when I got real excited. What do you see in this piece of ice? I am amazed at the patterns and colors that show up.
