Late Spring high water

My friend and I were out walking today, when we came upon this car with the arm on it. At first, we thought that it was someone with their arm sticking out. Of course we had to get a shot of that.

This wonderful art piece was a collaboration between Allison J. and Amy S. The chair was covered with dyed wool batting and needle felted into place. It depicts a whole little scene with trees, rivers, & little people. It was a grand prize winner at the Nevada State fair several years ago.

Pioneering Moonwalker Buzz Aldrin – seen on screen with Brian Cox – inspects the telerobotic arm later demonstrated on Wednesday evening’s BBC Stargazing Live.

Live on the show, host Dara O Briain at Jodrell Bank in the UK used the arm to shake hands remotely across more than 450 km with presenter Dallas Campbell at ESA’s technical heart in Noordwijk, the Netherlands.

Controlling the arm at the Dutch end is André Schiele, heading ESA’s Telerobotics and Haptics Laboratory, which works on extending the human sense of touch into space.

Using telerobotic force-feedback, the aim is to enable precision control of robots in space and also, one day, manipulation of rovers on planets by astronauts up in orbit – allowing direct human-guided exploration without the danger and expense of landing.

The Yellowstone River, Trail Creek, and a bunch of small lakes and wetlands come together at the end of the Southeast Arm of Yellowstone Lake. From this point on, you're in the legendary Thorofare region.

My sister, Carrie, is having her arm painted instead of her face at a booth for the Chalk the Block festival. A couple of very talented body painters quickly applied a heart design, much to Carrie's delight.

To enjoy my other creative project, please visit my funny short stories website: 500ironicstories.com where you can read or listen to new stories each week. I have also curated the stories into three different selections:

this is one of my mother's arm protectors....her skin is paper thin, and tears and bruises so easily that she wears these every day...they are basically a glove like bag with a big hole for the fingers and a smaller hole for the thumb...I hope this counts...

Another photo from the Place d'Armes. I almost forgot to put it in my 'uploads' folder, but I thought this building was very attractive and worth sharing.

Helping each other over the hard bits of the rock face the girls move towards the rock pool wall to the right to hopefully hang on and get some protection . The wave coming before them gives some idea of the challenges ahead .

Good luck , they will need it .

I would really like to build whole suit, but for now I have part barely for one arm :)

I tried to maintain human arm full mobility, but with my lego collection its simply no possible. So I did the best I could with parts I have. I will upload video and softbox photos soon so you will see what this awesome arm can actually do and build details :)

Hope you like it.
