The Crew Access Arm and White Room for Boeing's CST-100 Starliner are attached to the Crew Access Tower at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station’s Space Launch Complex 41. The arm will serve as the connection that astronauts will walk through prior to boarding the Starliner spacecraft when stacked atop a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket. This installation completes the major construction of the first new Crew Access Tower to be built at the Cape since the Apollo era. Under a Commercial Crew Transportation Capability contract with NASA, Boeing’s Starliner system will be certified by NASA's Commercial Crew Program to fly crews to and from the International Space Station.

this is a new development in the 'stayput' range, a hoodie that leaves one arm free. This is for the girl who enjoys some confinement but has things to do. Available in left or right handed versions, this sweatshirt contains one arm in the internal sleeve while the other is free. The hood has just a small opening to peep out of and this can be cinched closed with the cord if required. The hood' nice & floppy so it falls forward a lot, needing lots of attention from your free hand!

AtHalton on teh Wendover Arm of the Grand union canal. When I wa syoung I used to come here lots. The Wendover Arm is a canal witout any locks, it follows the contour of the front of the Chiltern Hills escarpment.

A couple shares a blanket on the Esplanade, beside the Charles River. The girl's left arm is in a long cast, which suggests it was broken.

I had a series of shots of me lying on the ground - this one of my arm alone looks really freaky on its own, like it's dismembered or something.
This is the project that prompted me to rethink my yarn snobbery: the Cashmere Arm Cosies by Lion Brand. Not only did I use their pattern, I also used the yarn called for, Lion Cashmere Blend. I did mine in Camel.
This yarn is SO nice to work with. It's merino wool and cashmere and super soft. I liked it so much while knitting this first cosy that I went back to the store and bought more in black.
My only complaints: the cosy is knit flat and then seamed at the end. I HATE seaming. I'm sure I could revise the pattern to be knit in the round if I were clever enough, but alas, I don't currently have the brain power for that. =D At any rate, I seamed mine up using mattress stitch and it was a pain in the arse just because these are so long--I really think they're more like "sleeves" rather than "arm cosies." Also, the yarn began pilling as I was seaming, but I think that was mostly due to the ripping out/re-seaming/re-ripping out that I did. (Told you, I hate seaming, lol.)
Time to cast on the second one!
Tulsa has had a long streak of very hot weather this summer. The forecast calls for 100 degree weather the next ten days in a row (maybe longer but my app only predicts 10 days at time). I decided to get some photos anyway and used the shade an awful lot for my own (best possible) comfort as well as the softer lighting.
Salmon Arm is a city in the southern interior of British Columbia with a population of approximately 16,000. It is on the shores of Shuswap Lake, where the Salmon River empties into the Salmon Arm reach of the lake. It is a tourist town in the summer, with many beaches, as well as camping facilities and house boat rentals.
