Scenes of foggy Endicott Arm, as seen from the deck of the Carnival Miracle on our cruise to Alaska. We were scheduled to cruise the Tracy Arm Fjord on Tuesday, August 8th, but it was too foggy, so we pulled into the Endicott Arm instead, hoping that the fog would clear. (It never did.)

Crumlin arm that once extended to Crumlin, now terminates a little north of Risca. The designated conservation area includes those sections of the canal that lie within the boundaries of Newport City Council.
These little frogs were EVERYWHERE at Hatcher Gardens. Walking down the paths, you could see them scatter in every direction. I caught this little guy to let Melissa take a photo, and he kept jumping away. We finally got him to sit still for a while, and when I tried to put him down he wouldn't move. I didn't think I'd be able to get a photo since I was trying to hold the little guy, but when he grew attached to my arm, I was able to snap a few shots of my own. We named him, but I forgot what. haha.
I loved frogs when I was little, and was in total bliss playing with these little guys.

The Granite YMCA brought Deb Banaian, a 7-time World Champion arm wrestler, to campus on Thursday, February 25. Mrs. Banaian taught our students great techniques and tips of the trade as well as gave our students a taste of competition!
