This bridge arm lamp used to live in my Grandma's basement. I suspect it belonged to my Great Grandparents originally. I refinished it, rewired it, and found vintage pieces parts to enable it to use a shade, and a vintage style glass lamp shade...woohoo! Old stuff is cool. It is about 4 1/2 feet tall.

The Wendover arm of the Grand Union Canal, photographed here between the bottom of Tring Hill, Aston Clinton, and the A41 by-pass. When the by-pass was built the canal was diverted to the right to enable enough height for a bridge. The original canal passed to the left of the tree.
The Wendover Arm Trust are in the process of restoring the canal to a navigable state where a large section of the canal developed leaks and was piped under ground.
To cut down costs of rehabilitation equipment, we suggest using water bottles as weights. This is especially effective for arm strengthening in various applications.
Here, two bottles have been marked to adjust the weight of the bottle according to the condition and progression of the individual. Sand can also be used as a weight.

We were meant to be sailing up Tracy Arm fjord, but the previous day there had been a major ice calving at the Sawyer Glacier, at the end of the fjord, and this had resulted in significant amounts of ice, virtually blocking safe passage. So, instead, the Disney Wonder received permission (rarely granted for very large ships) to sail up Endicott Arm where would see the equally spectacular Dawes Glacier. As we had previously visited Tracy Arm, being able to see something new (and a rare opportunity at that) was pretty cool :-)
Oops. I was helping move some props for an upcoming Vacation Bible School. We needed to transport a large shack from one location to another. The shack started to tip over in the wrong direction while Kev and I were laying it on its side. The corrugated metal roof dug into my arm when I tried to stop the shack from tipping. If you look at this picture upside down it looks like evil cat eyes.
