A lovely misty start to the day across a New Forest heath a few weeks ago - one of the few "nice" mornings I've witnessed this summer so far. The shallow hollows and valleys in this area can be mist prone but as soon as the sun gets close to the horizon the mist often quickly grows and a few minutes after this was made, and 15 minutes before dawn, the scene was obliterated by a grey blanket! The pre-dawn colours and atmosphere were still the best I've experienced at this spot though.
Spent probably a hour taking to many photos & multi exposures of a Tulip. Photography can take you to some strange & wonderful places.
Nobody home, please try again tomorrow.
Freddie’s diary entry notes “An early morning rampage through the woods with Dad, then off to the grooming parlour for a terrier "hand strip". 2 young ladies paying me attention for nearly 4 hours. I know it's only Rock 'n Roll but I like it...”
A couple of sheep on the slopes of Sponds Hill with yesterday mornings mists and temperature inversion filling the valleys behind them. The pyramidal-shape of Eccles Pike standing out clearly.
A view across one of the ponds within Wanstead Park in north east London. In the background a cafeteria where people usually stop to buy something to refresh themselves. Life in London.
Una vista su uno dei laghetti all'interno di Wanstead Park, nella zona nord est di Londra. Sullo sfondo una caffetteria dove le persone solitamente si fermano per comprare qualcosa per rifocillarsi. Vita a Londra.
A long expoure image of the Hohenzollern Bridge spanning the River Rhine in Cologne. In the background can be seen the Kölner Dom (Cologne Cathedral), the seat of the Archbishop of Cologne.
This view was taken shortly after Sunset.
Another image taken on my recent trip to the Toledo region of Spain.
Many thanks to everyone that views and comments on my images - very much appreciated.

A testimony of the past, apparently ruined and dilapidated, but that seems to resist oblivion, thanks to the fleeting moments of splendor that it is still able to provide as if in the last breath, it made a supreme effort to exhale all that beauty treasured inside, leading us to think about everything, good and bad, that we all also treasure inside us, and how much of both things we will be able to make remain in people's memory over time, and how will we be remembered...

A hot summer day is coming to an end, the colors are intense and the reflected light of the sun on the asphalt underlines the heat of the month of July in a sultry London.
Una calda giornata d'estate volge al termine, i colori sono intensi e la luce riflessa del sole sull'asfalto sottolinea il calore del mese di luglio in una Londra afosa.

Mona Vale, NSW, Australia, June 2015. The rain has fallen all morning. It can be difficult to discern the boundary of the sky and sea.
I actually came to shoot macros of blossom and wildflowers (more of that later) meanwhile Sir Fred steals the show. As always...
SOOC shot, no crop.
This beautiful weeping silver birch has a stunning shape but sits in a much less stunning place, being right in the middle of a children's play area! I've never found a satisfactory way of photographing the tree as a consequence. A recent hoar frost however, helped simplify things and focusing on some of the cascading twiglets still portayed some of the tree's beauty.
A musician plays his homeland on a warm summer's day, along the walkway adjacent to the River Thames, in London, near Blackfriars. He, who has his origins in his heart, is proud of it and expresses his awareness through music.
Let battle commence….

The Lord Leycester Hospital (often known simply as the Lord Leycester) is one of the best preserved examples of medieval courtyard architecture in England and is a charity supporting ex-servicemen. It is located in Warwick, England, next to the West Gate, on High Street. It is a Grade I listed building. The Hospital is a prominent and internationally famous feature of Warwick. For almost 900 years buildings have been erected and civic activity has taken place on the site, starting with the chapel built in 1126. The site was donated by the 12th Earl of Warwick in the 14th century to the United Guild of the Holy Trinity and St George. The Guild Hall, Great Hall and Master's House were constructed in the late 15th century. Over the centuries, the ancient buildings and 500 year old gardens have been admired by many famous visitors such as Charles Dickens and Oscar Wilde, by Kings and Queens, such as King George V and the Queen Mother and ordinary travellers from around the world. I wondered what this poor man did for the rest of the day as he worked and dried out. Must have been horribly uncomfortable.
Each lens has a superb IQ and distinct character and the EM1 mk2 is a fantastically feature rich camera that makes the best of its teeny mft sensor.
During my life I never really splashed out on photogear until a few years ago when my pension kicked in.
In my rather flimsy defence, all the lenses are second user but all are in mint condition.
I stopped feeling guilty ages ago so puhleeze don’t go all judgemental on my a$$.
In a quiet undisturbed corner of our garden.

Who can fail to admire a wild flower growing in what looked like little more than a pile of building sand and rubble. If there's any moisture there, well...it’s found it!
