Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd announced the launch of the unique Samsung NX100 at a launch event in Hong Kong on 14 Sep, 2010.
The Samsung NX100 is an innovative mirrorless camera equipped with the world’s first i-Function lens, putting the perfect picture at the fingertips of all photographers through a completely new way of controlling your camera.
The World Creative Imaging Competition (WCIC) site has recently opened. WCIC consists of 120 young talents from 6 different countries around the world : China, France, Germany, South Korea, United Kingdom, and United States.
20 contestants will represent this Creative Class from March 19th, 2010 until March 23rd, 2010 to submit 3 creative photos by NX10 that online voters can vote on. The subject of their photos must represent the theme “The Creative Moment”, which is relative with the theme of NX10 “Why Capture? Creat!”.
The Final 10 contestants will be chosen by combination of public online voting & expert evaluation. Those 10 contestants will have their works on display in a gallery in China. And the Final10 Creative Class members will receive a scholarship to his or her school.
The WCIC site supports English, Spanish, Korean, French, Russian, German and Chinese.

The greenfinch (Chloris chloris) is a vibrant, seed-eating bird known for its striking yellow-green plumage and strong, conical beak. It is a common sight in gardens, woodlands, and farmlands, where it feeds on seeds, berries, and buds. Greenfinches have a distinctive, wheezy song and often form flocks outside the breeding season. Unfortunately, their populations have declined in recent years due to disease, particularly trichomonosis, which affects their ability to feed properly. Their adaptability and resilience, however, allow them to thrive in various environments when conditions are favorable.
