Look who’s allowed to roam freely about the house again! Exploring every nook & cranny, looking for mischief 😌. He had his first dose of chemotherapy this morning. He’ll have 1 dose/ month for 5 months. Even with the chemo, the Oncologist says she expects that he’ll live about 9 months, with a good quality of life if all goes well.

Some amazing April weather here in Northern Germany

Due to a cross-tie fire a couple miles ahead, a westbound NS freight train is halted just west of the Montgomery, VA, tunnel as an eastbound coal train breaks out into the afternoon sunshine with the Interstate heritage unit on the point on April 1, 2017.

Fyero showing us those lazy Saturday vibes with a gigantic yawn between naps this afternoon.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

MACRO MONDAYS

"April Fools"

These beautiful daffodils were photographed on a chilly moring in late April. We've had snow in May here in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts.

Well... this cooper hawk.

First he snatches a pigeon from my backyard (I didn't see it happen) and hangs out on my neighbour's porch with his meal until I came outside and spooked it (I didn't know it was there). He dragged his prize away and disappeared. Good riddance, I know it's nature and all that but I'm not a fan of watching it happen.

Hours later as Scott, Sock and I are at the end of our walk, I spot this guy still hanging in the neighbourhood with his lunch.

I'm not a fan of having his lunch in the photo, but what can you do, it's not like he was going to step away from his meal to pose for me, especially since I'd been unintentionally harassing him all afternoon.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

I spotted this guy from way across the lake and hedged my bets that he'd still be chilling on this stump by the time I made my way around the water. Luckily the lake isn't very big and I made it before he decided he had somewhere else to be.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Little Miss discovered the screen door today; we had the doors open for the first time this year yesterday but she was a little spooked by them, today though, today she's a little braver.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Arable farming early in April

Im Märzen der Bauer die Rösslein anspannt

This strike was unexpected and pure luck that I even captured it.

It was only a light rain and not storming. I just happened to "hope" it would storm and set up on the porch.

While watching the radar on my cell phone, I had the camera's cable release in my hand and this strike happened - pure reflex reaction for me to press the cable release since I wasn't paying attention to the sky.

A quick but calm sort of shot for a quiet Friday.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Today I posted this pic and it's the last day of april, a day we celebrate as "The Valborgsmässoafton". Am not sure how to translate it. We burn fires and listens to men singing certain songs and celebrate it with fireworks.

Yesterday's sunset...

back In April when our Auroras were beginning to play out we had an awesome storm ...even though my focus was off because of bumped tripod in the dark ...still managed to capture Lady Aurora......played with preset in Light-room to enhance darkness of night ....can hardly wait til she returns ....

April 1, 2015 ~~~

“Sometimes we let our thoughts of tomorrow take up too much of today. Daydreaming of the past and longing for the future may provide comfort but will not take the place of living in the present. This is the day of our opportunity, and we must grasp it” ― Thomas S. Monson

I used PicMonkey to enhance this image.

Rainy days are extra boring for Sock, his walks aren't as fun and there's not as much to see through the window.

Here he is checking to see if there was anything fun to do in the living room while taking a break from hoping the squirrels would show up to entertain him.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Testing out some Daisy Granny Square patterns I found online today, not too sure if they're what I'm looking for yet so I may keep looking for other options, but I did learn a new stitch (popcorn stitch)!

The two patterns I used for this photo were found here and here.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

back when summer still seemed a possibility

When I opened the blinds this morning I saw white, not green. The scene was completely unexpected.

The view is of the riverfront just across the street from our apartment.

Rainy day here, so I figured why fight it? May as well brave the cold rain and get a shot of the garden getting watered by Mother Nature.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

I'm not usually one to post cell phone photos as part of my flickr stream, but today I can't resist.

The union I belong to has called for a general strike as of Wednesday this week and today the dinosaurs rolled on up to the picket line!

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.
