Beginning of the lockdown - felt safe out there with the cherry blossoms!
Beginn des Lockdowns - fühlte mich bei den Kirschblüten sicher!
Having taken loads of photos of various blossom that I've seen I decided to make it into a collage rather than putting up every photo individually.
I let Picasa do the organising rather than fiddling around with it myself.

Found myself in between thunderstorms in a cemetery last evening just before sunset. There was amazing drama playing out in the sky as sun and cloud structure combined. But standing here, totally alone, I was taken with dark moodiness at ground level as daylight ebbed away. I love the way the sky color is projected across the landscape as the sun angle decreases. There's something visually appealing the way contrast decreases in the foreground as it increases in the background sky. The feeling is enhanced by the lush and verdant April vegetation that, just a few weeks ago, was bleached and virtually colorless. And with every step I took I was conscious of the saturated ground, the result of runoff from heavy rains that preceded my visit. A real sensory overload, and I found myself mostly just standing and taking it in. Photography was mostly secondary, at least until I came upon this figurines of the Virgin Mary. The forlorn quality of her face seemed to encapsulate everything I was sensing.

Sock's turn in the window this morning, and he was happy to be watching the buses across the street empty out this morning. He was quite interested in watching the comings and goings of the morning routine.
